홈쇼핑 채널에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

우리나라에는 TV 홈쇼핑 채널이 수없이 많다. 정규 방송 채널 중간중간에 끼어 있다. 채널을 돌리다 보 면 홈쇼핑 채널들을 보게 된다. 나도 모르게 채널을 고정하고 파는 물건을 보게 되는 경우가 많다.

의상, 화장품, 음식, 전자 제품, 운동 기구, 그리고 여행 상품에 이르기까지 팔지 않는 것이 없다. 쇼핑 호스트들과 전문가들이 나와서 상품에 대한 장점을 매우 자세히 설명해 준다. 개인적인 느낌도 이야기 해 준다.

제품 자체가 좋기도 하지만, 무엇보다 홈쇼핑 특가 라는 전략을 내세워서, 여러 가지 추가 혜택에 대해 서 소개를 한다. 인기 상품의 경우, 예상보다 빠르 게 제품이 품절되어 조기에 방송이 중단되는 경우 도 있다.

TV home shopping channel

TV 홈쇼핑 채널

우리나라와 조금 다르게 대부분의 영어권 나라에는 별도의 홈쇼핑 채널이 있기보다는 주로 시청률이 낮은 시간대에 타 채널에 광고 형태로 물건을 판매 하는 경우가 더 흔하다. 이는 information과 commercial이라는 단어를 합쳐 infomercial이 라고 한다.

나는 가끔 심심할 때는 TV홈쇼핑 채널을 시청하기 도 한다. 

I bought this product from an infomercial on TV.

나는 TV광고 방송 중에 이 물건을 구입했다.
