●Supply of industrial location and building National Territorial & Regional Research Division carries out comprehensive and systematic research on national territory plan and policy at the national level and other policy developments to create competitive region in the era of globalization and localization at the local level. The division has com-pleted the 4th Comprehensive National Territorial Plan(2000~2020) following the successful comple-tion of the second(1982~1991) and third(1992~2001).
Regional research includes various regional economic development policies and strategies such as regional analysis, capital metropolitan management and control and industrial location. In particular, considering the intensifying trend of localization and regional competition, cooperative systems among local governments, local research institutions and experts are emphasized.
In addition, the division is in charge of developing policies that will contribute to the balanced development of national territory, and also plans long-term and comprehensive regional policy strate-gies by sharing research outcomes with other divisions.
