1. fit the bill 적절하다

window-shop 진열된 상품을 구경하다

우리나라에서 흔히 사용하는 '아이 쇼핑', 즉 eye shopping은 영어권에서는 사용하지 않는 표현 이다. 정확한 표현은 window-shopping이며, 이는 백화점이나 쇼핑몰 등 창문이 없는 실내에 서도 적용되는 표현이다. 더 단순하게는 browse라는 단어를 사용해도 좋다

I always end up buying things when I go window-shopping.

(나는 구경만 하러 가더라도 항상 물건을 구입하게 된다.) I didn't buy anything because I was just browsing.

(그냥 구경만 하는 것이라 뭔가를 구입하지는 않았다.)
