「Consensus Building System on the National Pro-ject」(2005), 「Establishment of the System for Prevention and Management in Public Conflicts」

(2005), 「Agglomeration Problems and Policy Directions of Large-Scale Development Projects in Capital Region」(2005), 「The Regional Impacts of Locational Conflicts Related to Public Facilities」(2004). He has an interest in the strate-gies and management for public conflict resolu-tion related to urban and regional development.

He is currently Director of the National Territorial

& Regional Research Division.

Park Yangho

Vice President, Ph.D. in City and Regional Plan-ning, University of California-Berkeley, USA.

His recent research works include 「Territorial Pol-icy Direction toward 2020」(2005), 「Balanced Regional Development and Northeast Asian Con-text of Korea」(2005) and 「Co-operative Regional Development Model」(2004). He served as Senior Adviser to the Minister of Construction and Transportation and member of Presidential Com-mittee of Policy Planning. He frequently advises to some presidential policy committees and min-istries of the Korean government.

Park Sangwoo

Senior Research Fellow. Ph.D. in Regional Sci-ence, University of Pennsylvania, USA.

His major research works include 「Knowledge Based Development Strategy for Future Daegu Metropolis」(2008), 「Globalization and Regional development Strategies in Korea」(1998), 「Apprais-als and Strategies for Balanced Regional Growth Policies in Korea」(1997) and 「Development Charge on Large-Scale Buildings in the Capital Region」(1995). He served as Director of Regional Analysis Division and was a member of the Prime Minister's Office and the Capital Region Growth Management Commission of the Ministry of Con-struction and Transportation.

Yang Habaek

Senior Research Fellow. Master in Landscape Architecture, Seoul National University.

Major research works include 「Environmental Study for Restricted Development Zone(RDZ) Pol-icy Reform」(2002), 「GIS Application for National Land Management」(1998) and 「A Comprehen-sive Study on the Mid-Mountain Areas and Establishing the Land Use Planning in Cheju Island」(1997).

He has studied on the national devel-opment plans, regional develdevel-opment plans and policies of industrial location since 1979. He has studied on the redevelopment of industrial estates adopting the industrial clusters approach in the Department of Urban Studies, the University of Glasgow, UK.
