실가스 배출량의 25%로서 여 도로수송 또는 산업계와 같은 수준을 차지 - EU집행위는 새로운 기준으로 인해 기존 보일러 보다 약 50% 에너지
소비효율이 좋아진 제품만이 시장출시가 가능할 것으로 판단

- 에너지 연합전략의 일환으로 2015년 2월 유럽 집행위원회가 착수한 프로젝트는 에너지라벨링 법규의 개정을 제안했다. (2015년 7월)
- 제안된 개정방안은 소비자가 충분한 정보를 기반으로 제품을 선택하여 비용과 에너지를 저감할 수 있도록 지원해 주는 것을 목표로 한다.
- 구체적으로 현행 A+++등급부터 D등급까지 표시하는 방식에서 A등급 에서 G등급까지 표시하는 방식으로 변경되며 에너지 라벨링 정보를 에너지라벨링 시스템에 등록해야 하는 의무가 생길 것으로 예상된다.
