I. 인지기능과 쇠약의 구성요소와의 관계

인지기능과 쇠약의 구성요소간의 연관성을 살펴보고자 인지기능과 쇠약의 각 구성요소인 체중감소, 정서적 고갈, 신체활동 감소, 보행속도 감소, 악력 감소와의 연관성을 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다.

인지기능은 인지기능 총점인 MMSE-KC 점수와 인지장애 유무로 구분하여 쇠약의 각 구성요소와의 연관성을 분석하였다. 첫 번째 단계는 연령만으로 보정하였고 두 번째 단계는 인구사회학적 변수로, 세 번째 단계는 건강행위 변수와 건강상태 변수로 보정하였으며 마지막 네 번째 단계에서는 IADL 과 ADL 장애로 보정하였다..

성별에 따라 인지기능과 쇠약의 구성요소와의 연관성을 분석한 결과 남녀간에 차이를 보였다. 남성의 경우 MMSE-KC 점수가 높을수록 정서적 고갈 및 악력 감소의 위험이 감소되는 경향을 보였으며 신체활동저하와 보행속도 저하는 인구사회학적 변수와 건강상태 및 건강행위 변수로 보정하였을 때는 유의한 연관성을 보이다가 장애로 보정하였을 때는 더 이상 유의한 연관성을 보이지 않았다. 또한 인지장애가 있는 남성의 경우 정상에 비해 정서적 고갈의 위험이 1.58 배(OR=1.58, 95% CI: 1.25-1.98), 악력 감소의 위험은 1.49 배(OR=1.49, 95% CI: 1.20-1.86) 높았다 (Table 20).

여성의 경우 MMSE-KC 점수는 정서적 고갈, 신체 활동감소, 보행속도 감소, 악력감소와 유의한 연관성을 나타냈고, 인지장애가 있는 경우 정상에 비해 악력 감소의 위험이 1.46 배(OR=1.46, 95% CI: 1.19-1.80)높았으며 남성은 인지장애와 체중감소가 유의한 연관성을 나타내지 않은 반면 여성은 인지장애가 있는 경우 체중감소의 위험이 1.53 배(OR=1.46, 95% CI: 1.03-2.26) 높았으며 인지장애가 있는 남성은 정서적 고갈과 악력저하만이 유의한 연관성을 보인 반면 인지장애가 있는 여성의 경우는 체중감소와 악력저하만이 유의한 연관성이 있었다(Table 21).
