○ 네팔에 대한 우리나라의 공적개발원조(ODA)에서 한국국제협력단 (KOICA)이 2006년 이래 9년(2006~2014년)간 네팔에 대하여 무상원조 를 시행한 것 가운데 농업 및 농촌개발로 분류되어 지원된 금액은 모 두 약 4백만 달러이다. 동 기간 농업·농촌개발에 대한 지원 규모는 꾸 준히 증가해왔다. 이 중 프로젝트 사업은 농촌공동체 개발사업
(2014~2017) 외 6건이고, 나머지는 전문가 파견, 해외봉사단, 초청연
수, 기타 기술협력 등이다(EDCF 2016).
○ 네팔은 2010년과 2015년 2차례에 걸쳐 우리나라의 ODA 중점 협력국 가로 선정되었다. 분야별로는 산업에너지 부문, 지역별로는 극서부지 역을 중심으로 많은 원조사업이 수행되었다. 네팔을 대상으로 수립된 첫 번째 ‘네팔 국가협력전략(2013-2015)’은 빈곤감소 지원 및 고용 중 심의 포용적이고 형평적인 경제 성장을 주요 목적으로 하고 있다. 목 적 달성을 위한 중점 협력 분야로는 인적자원개발, 보건의료, 농업, 전 력을 채택하였다.
○ 기존 네팔 국가협력전략(CPS)9)이 2015년을 기점으로 종료됨에 따라
