brand-name item 유명 브랜드 제품

본문에서와 같이 brand-new item이라는 표현 이나, 순서를 바꾼 name-brand item 모두 사 용 가능하다. 두 표현의 의미는 대체로 유사하나, 약간의 차이가 있다면 전자의 경우는 이름이 익 숙한 유명 브랜드 제품을, 후자의 경우는 가격대 가 높은 명품을 뜻하는 뉘앙스가 있다.

I don't want to pay extra for a brand- name item.

(유명 브랜드 제품이라고 추가 금액을 지불하고 싶지 않아.) Wearing name-brand items doesn't automatically make you stylish.
