2021 Youth Peace Camp Application Form
The Youth Peace Camp in 2021 will be held in the mix of on- and off-line events due to the spread of COVID-19 around the globe. An applicant from countries other than Korea is supposed to participate in the camp online.
Eligibility
An applicant will be qualified for the program if the applicant meets the following requirements.
The applicant is required [1] to be a descendent or his or her family member of a Korean War veteran from one of the 22 UN Sending States (preferably attending a university or college, including a graduate school, with good academic records), [2] to have no criminal records, and [3]
to be recommended in the country of the applicant’s residence by (a) the head, a dean or a professor of university or college, (b) the President of the Korean War Veterans Association (KWVA), (c) the Korean ambassador, or (d) the government ministry or department responsible for veterans’ affairs.
How to Apply
An applicant needs to provide the information below and sign the Agreement before submitting them to whom this may concern (the Korean Embassy or the KWVA in the country of the applicant’s residence, or an official volunteer who has the responsibility of selecting applicants) within the designated period. In addition, if an applicant is a student, the applicant is required to provide his or her most recent official college transcript and military records (DD214), as well as the information on his or her grandfather’s participation in the Korean War.
