1번입니다. 다음을 듣고, 남자가 사려고 하는 넥타이를 고르세요.

W: Wow! There are a huge variety of fancy neckties.

M: That's great. I need to buy a necktie for my dad.

W: Really? Let's choose one here. What kind do you want?

M: Hmm. How about this polka-dot necktie?

W: It looks nice, but I'm not sure if your father likes polka dots. What about this solid one?

M: Do you mean the solid and wide tie? Wide ties are a little bit old-fashioned.

W: Okay. You don't like wide ones. Hmm. Here are some narrow ties. You can see if there's something you like.

M: They are very stylish. I like them. Which pattern do you think is the best?

W: Hmm... Look! This checkered tie is eye-catching. It will make your dad look much younger, I think.

M: You're right. Checks are very trendy these days. I'll take this one.

2번입니다. 대화를 듣고, 여자의 현재 심정으로 가장 적절한 것을 고르세요.

M: I heard you've moved into a new apartment. What made you choose this apartment?

W: The rent is six hundred dollars a month. You know this price is really reasonable.

M: But if it isn't furnished, it's not that cheap.

W: It's furnished. There are a bed, a sofa and a refrigerator.

M: Wow. You made a good choice. You must be very satisfied.

W: I thought so, at first.

(sound unsatisfactory)

M: What do you mean by that? Do you have any problem with your apartment?

W: Actually, not long after I moved into this apartment, a new family moved in upstairs. They have two young kids and a dog running around until midnight.

M: Did you complain to your neighbor about the noise?

W: Of course, but they ignored me. What is worse, I hear a lot of traffic noise from outside.

M: The constant noise must bother you a lot. How do you put up with that noise all day long?

W: There's no other way. Maybe I should go to the realtor for another apartment.

3번입니다. 다음을 듣고, 무엇에 관한 설명인지 고르세요.

W: This is a form of entertainment that includes something for just about everyone. As a traveling company of clowns, acrobats, trained animals, musicians and a range of other performers, this enjoys a history that goes back to the prime of the Roman Empire. Generally, the focus of the performing area is referred to as a ring, owing to the circular nature of the space. Also, there is always a ringmaster who introduces all the performances. Because these are traveling companies, tents are used for much of the live performances and housing for the animals and props. These tents are nicknamed the "Big top".

M: Only 30 minutes? I am not sure if I will get there in time.

W: Is there a problem? Where are you calling from, Tom?

M: I'm on the expressway. My car broke down.

W: Oh, no. Did you call the insurance company? They can send a tow truck.

M: Yes, but it will take 30 minutes. I'm really sorry, but I don't think we can see the movie today.

W: That's all right. I should ask for a refund on tickets.

M: Wait! How about seeing it tomorrow? I'm free after 3 p.m.

W: Okay, then I'll exchange the tickets. Did you say you're available after 3?

M: Yes, you're right.

W: Oh, I need a vehicle recharger. Is there any special event for that?

There will be a blackout in the entire building. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation! If you have any questions concerning this shutdown you may contact the building manager. We're sorry about the inconvenience.

W: Perfect. Yesterday I went to an electronics mart with my brother. They recommended some cameras but they were really expensive.

M: Don't you know it's much cheaper to buy cameras through the internet?

I bought my camera on an online shopping mall.

W: Which malls are the best? Any suggestions?

M: I can't remember the web site addresses. Those are in my computer at home. Do you want me to inform you tomorrow?

W: Hmm.. I'm leaving on a trip overseas on Friday. I need to buy a camera as soon as possible.

M: I can't go home until 10 o'clock. What I only remember right now is the name of the site that shows price comparisons for various cameras.

W: Good. That will do for me.

W; In that case, you should fill out this form. Please write down your room number, the number of towels you need and then your signature at the bottom.

M; (pause) OK.. I‘m finished.

W: Here are two towels!

M; Do I have to return them here?

M: Actually, I don't remember the title, but it's about raising fish.

W: Then I'll check books about the topic on the computer. (pause) We have seventeen books about raising fish. Take a look.

M: Hmm. That's it. "A fish as a pet" is what I am looking for.

W: Good. You can find it on the ninth shelf in the animal section.

M: How come? Do you have any problem?

W: Yes. I am troubled with chronic stomachache, so I am going to see a doctor for a check-up.

M: Chronic stomachache is usually due to your poor eating habits. Come to think of it, I've seen you eating junk food a lot.

W: That's because I don't have much time for cooking, but I'm trying to do something for my health. You know I'm working out very hard.

M : Exercise alone cannot keep you fit. The more important thing is having good eating habits.

W: You're right. But I can't stop eating hamburgers, pizza and fried chicken.

M: You must be especially careful about food if you want to keep in a good shape.

W: Thank you for your advice.

M: Yeah, Mom. (pause) Look! There's a leaflet for this week's musicals.

W: Oh, yes. We really enjoyed Pinocchio last year, right?

M: You're right. Whenever he lied, his nose grew bigger and bigger. That was really fabulous.

Can we see that musical one more time?

W: How about a new one? Let me see... What about Alice in Wonderland? It may be very funny because of fantastic adventures.

M: Well, when is Dad coming back from business trip?

W: This Saturday. You want Dad to go with you, right?

M: Absolutely. Let's go to see a musical this weekend. By the way, Mom, is the story of Les Miserables the same with the story in the book I read a few days ago?

W: Right, but you may get a very different feeling from the musical.

M: Then, I like this one.

W: Wait, Nicky! It has a fifteen-plus rating. It means you are not allowed to see it as you are still under fifteen.

M: Then there's only one choice left. I think Dad will like it, too.

M: That's too bad. Did you say room 201?

W: Yes. Can you fix it today?

M: Well, the plumber may not come right away. Have you tried opening the drain cover, by any chance, to take a look underneath?

W: I didn't know it can be opened.

M: Well, it does open, and there should be a net underneath. It could be clogged with hair and whatever other things. They are piled up over time.

M: You thought you would be done with studying once you got into a college.

W: Yes, I really did! Still, I'm having fun since I wanted to major in this field.

M: That's good! How about other stuff? Having fun with club activities?

Going out anyone?

W: No, no dating. Well, I've been accepted to our college school paper.

M: Great! That's going to help you a lot with writing.

W: I've always wanted to be an editor of the college newspaper. But my writing skill is not getting any better.

M: Writing can be difficult. It requires comprehensive thinking.

17번입니다. 다음 상황 설명을 듣고, Junho가 Mina에게 할 말로 가장 적절한 것을 고르세요.

M: Junho and Mina are classmates. They were assigned to clean the hallway together. Mina suggested that they take turns doing the cleaning every other day instead of both of them doing it together every day. Yesterday, it was Junho's turn and he did a good job. Today he went to change clothes in the locker to get ready for the next P.E. class. The homeroom teacher, who was making her round to check, found Junho and told him that the hallway was not cleaned. So Junho cleaned the hallway instead of Mina even though it was not his turn today. When Mina came back to the class, Junho asked her why she did not clean the hallway. Mina said she had been to the math teacher to get some help with the math questions. What is Junho most likely to say to Mina in this situation?

Junho: __________________________________________
