ある旅行記―九州巡り 어떤 여행기-규슈 일주 Trip round Kyushu

今年初めに、「JR九州お年玉乗り放題きっぷ」という、JR 九州の「普通列車」を 1 日間制限なく乗れるチケット(2000 円)

を使い、宮崎駅から福岡の博多駅まで「普通列車の旅」に行って きました。

올해 초에 ‘JR 큐슈 오토시다마 노리호다이 티켓' 이라는, 하루종일 큐슈 JR ‘보통열차’를 제한없이 탈 수 있는 티켓(2 천엔)으로 미야자키역에서부터 후쿠오카의 하카타역까지

‘보통열차 여행’을 다녀왔습니다.

At the beginning of this year, I went on an ‘ordinary train journey’ starting from Miyazaki Station all the way to Hakata Station in Fukuoka, using the‘JR Kyushu New Year Unlimited Ticket’ which allows unlimited train rides on ‘ordinary trains’ within one day (2,000 yen).

韓国の友達の中にも日本の鉄道ファンがいて、青春 18 きっぷなどを使って日本全国を旅したことのある友 達が「日本の鉄道とその時刻表は凄いよ~一度旅行してみる価値がある!」と叫んでいたので、いつかこん な旅行がしてみたかったです。

한국 친구들 중에 일본 철도 매니아들이 있어, 청춘 18 을 이용해서 일본 일주를 한 친구가 ‘일본의 철도 시각표는 정말 대단해~한 번쯤 여행해 볼 가치가 있어!’ 라고 외쳐댔었기 때문에 한 번 정도는 이런 여행을 해보고 싶었습니다.

Back in Korea, I have friends who are great fans of Japan’s railway system, and one of them who had once travelled around the whole of Japan with the ‘Seishun 18 Ticket’ had enthusiastically talked about the wonders of Japan’s railway and its timetable, and how worthwhile the experience was. Thus I had always wanted to go on a trip like this.

1 泊 2 日の旅行でしたが、とても長い感じがした旅行でした。朝 5 時に起き、宮崎駅で 6 時の列車にのり、

途中で「バスなら宮崎から福岡まで片道 2000 円以内で 4 時間で行けるのに…」という思いもしながら、

宮崎―延岡、延岡―佐伯、佐伯―大分、大分―中津、中津―西小倉、西小倉―博多

という、お尻が痛くなる日程で、普通列車から普通列車へと乗換を続けて博多に着いたのが午後の 3 時半 でした。

1 박 2 일간의 여행이었으나, 아주아주 길게 느껴진 여행이었습니다. 아침에 5 시에 일어나서, 6 시 열차를 타고미야자키에서 편도 2000 엔 안쪽이면 후쿠오카까지 버스로 4 시간이면 되는데,라는 생각을 해 가면서

미야자키-노베오카, 노베오카-사이키(오이타현), 사이키-오이타, 오이타-나카츠, 나카츠-니시고쿠라, 니시고쿠라-하카타

라는, 엉덩이가 아파질 수 밖에 없는 일정으로 보통열차를 타고 환승을 해가며 하카타역에 도착하니 오후 3 시 반이었습니다.

2 / 3 Although it was only a two day overnight trip, it felt like an endlessly long journey, waking up at 5am so as to be able to get on the train at Miyazaki Station by 6am, and battling with the knowledge that it only takes about 4 hours and less than 2,000 yen to get to Fukuoka by bus…

Miyazaki – Nobeoka, Nobeoka – Saiki, Saiki – Oita, Oita – Nakatsu, Nakatsu – Nishikogura, Nishikogura – Hakata

… a grueling schedule that would get anyone’s bottom sore from the ride. After endless transfers from one ordinary train to the next, we finally made it to Hakata at 3.30pm.

翌日には少し余裕をもって 10 時に出発する列車に乗り、今度は熊本方面から帰ってきました。

博多―大牟田、大牟田―熊本、熊本―八代、八代―人吉、人吉―吉松、吉松―都城、都城―宮崎 途中、人吉では 1 時間の乗り換え時間があり、近くの温泉で体を温めて疲労回復!宮崎に着いたのは夜の 9 時半くらいでした。

다음날에는 전날보다 조금 여유 있게 열시에 출발하는 열차를 타고 이번엔 구마모토 방면으로 돌아왔습니다.

하카타-오무타, 오무타-구마모토, 구마모토-야츠시로, 야츠시로-히토요시, 히토요시-요시마츠, 요시마츠-미야코노죠, 미야코노죠-미야자키

중간에 히토요시에서는 한시간정도 환승시간이 있어서 따뜻한 온천에 몸을 담그면서 피로를 잠시 해소! 이렇게 아홉시 반쯤 미야자키에 도착했습니다.

The next morning, we left early catching the 10am train, and headed back via a different route, passing by Kumamoto this time.

Hakata – Omuta, Omuta – Kumamoto, Kumamoto – Yatsushiro, Yatsushiro – Hitoyoshi, Hitoyoshi – Yoshimura, Yoshimura – Miyakonojo, Miyakonojo – Miyazaki

At Hitoyoshi Station along the way, there was a good one hour stop before the next train. It was enough to catch a break at an onsen nearby, get warmed up and revitalized! By the time we got back to Miyazaki, it was already 9.30pm at night.

3 / 3 中には風景がまったく変わらない区間があってつらかったり、よくもこんなところに線路を敷いたなと思 う区間があって驚いたりしました。眠りこけて出発駅と到着駅の間の風景をまったく覚えてない区間もあり ました。楽しい旅程でした。ただ、八代からはずっと同じ形の列車だったので、お尻がかなり痛かったです

…。こうやって二日間、長崎以外の九州の各県を通って(?)きました。

중간중간 풍경이 바뀌질 않는 구간들이 있어 힘들기도 했고, 용케도 이런데 선로를 깔아놨구나 싶은 구간도 있었습니다. 정신없이 자느라 자느라 출발역과 도착역 사이의 풍경은 전혀 기억에 없는 구간들도 있었구요. 즐거운 여행이었습니다. 단, 야츠시로부터 계속 같은형태의 열차를 타고 왔는데, 엉덩이가 아팠어요… 이렇게 2 일동안 나가사키를 제외한 규슈의 각 현을 지나(?)올 수 있었습니다.

Throughout the whole journey, there were sections that were hard to bear as the scenery remained unchanged, sections where I was surprised that railway tracks actually existed and sections that I have absolutely no memory of, except for the first and last station where I was not asleep. It was a fun trip. Maybe except for the section after Yatsushiro where all the trains are of the same type which made my bottom sore…

Other than Nagasaki, we managed to travel through all (?) prefectures in Kyushu.

時刻表もぴったりで、計画通り乗換ができて、何の問題もなく無事に旅行することができました。日本の 鉄道って楽しいな、と思いましたし、ローカル線の魅力も感じました。鉄道マニアの心が少~しは理解でき た旅行でした。

시각표도 딱딱 맞아떨어져셔 계획한데로 차질없이 여행을 마칠 수 있었습니다. 일본 철도는 대단하구나 라는 생각이 들었고, 로컬 선의 매력도 느꼈습니다..철도 매니아의 심정이 이해가 가는 여행이었습니다.

With trains running exactly as per scheduled, we were able to make train connections just as planned and complete the journey without any hiccups. I think Japan’s railways are fun and felt the charms of local train lines through this trip. I think that I can also understand just a little of how railway fanatics feel now.

もちろん同じ旅程で 2 回目はもうできないなと思います。もう二十歳ではないので…。それでも今度は九 州以外の地域でこんな列車の旅がしてみたいなと思います。

물론 같은 여정으로 두 번 하라면 절대 못할거라 자신합니다. 스무살때 해봤으면 좋았을걸..그래도 다음에는 규슈 이외의 지역에서 이런 철도여행을 해보고 싶다는 생각이 들었습니다.

I definitely do not think I would want to do the same trip again. After all, I am no longer a twenty year old…

However, I think I would want to go on a train trip again someday, in some other places outside of Kyushu.

去年のお盆には 2 泊 3 日でフェリーで四国に行って、よさこいと阿波踊りを見てきました。いろいろと体 力を要する旅行をけっこうしてきましたね。これからはもうちょっと優雅な旅行がしたいですね。日本にい る間にできるだけいろんなところに行って、多様な経験がしてみたいです。おすすめの旅行先や旅行方法が あればぜひ教えてください!

작년 여름에는 2 박 3 일간 페리를 타고 시코쿠로 가서, 요사코이와 아와오도리를 보고 왔습니다.

몸으로 때우는 여행을 많이 한 것 같습니다. 올해는 좀 더 우아한 여행을 해보고 싶네요. 일본에 있는 동안 되도록 많은 곳을 가보고 다양한 체험을 하고 싶습니다. 추천하는 여행지나 여행방법이 있다면 알려주세요!

Come to think of it, I also went on a three day two night trip to Shikoku by ferry to see the famous Yosakoi dance and Awaodori during the Obon Festival last year. Seems like quite a fair bit of stamina exhausting trips for now. It would be nice to try travelling with more style from now on. I hope to be able to travel to many places and experience many things for myself during my stay in Japan. If anyone has recommendations on places to visit or ways to travel, please do share them with me!
