When Dr. Koppel analyzed over 600 texts using smaller words such as the, a, what, I, and he, certain regular patterns appeared. He could determine with 80% accuracy whether the author is a male or a female through this analysis. Women’s writings included more personal pronouns and possessive adjectives like you, he, I, her, our, etc. On the other hand, men more often used words such as a, the, these, and that as well as numbers and quantity words such as a lot. However, it can be helpful in meeting calorie and nutrient requirements, especially for some people, such as children, the elderly, or people with a very active lifestyle. Although snacking has been thought to contribute to weight gain, this will only happen if one eats more food than one needs. Snacking may even help some individuals improve their weight control because regular snacks prevent extreme hunger and reduce the possibility of eating large amounts of food in regular meals. ⑤

When the infant alligators grew too big as pets, their desperate owners would flush them down the toilet to get rid of them. Chinese, Arab, and Indian traders sailed with the monsoons, the seasonal winds of southern Asia. Every summer the monsoons blow from the southwest and in winter they blow from the northeast. These regular winds made it easier to trade and travel between mainland Asia and the islands of Southeast Asia. Asian sailors travelled according to the season, with winds that moved their sailing ships to and from China. Today, however, a gap year can refer to any time spent for designing their dreams or learning something. In other words, a gap year isn’t an excuse for taking time off to “do nothing.” People have spent gap years with their own goals: living on cruise ship in the Caribbean to learn about the tourism industry or studying art history in Florence. My camper’s name was Charley. He was forty years old, with severe autism and no eye contact. My hands shook with fear as I tried to introduce myself. Twice a year, my college offered a volunteer opportunity to students who wished to donate their weekends. 두 사람의 대립된 의견을 읽고 물음에 답하시오, . Person A Our democracy is endangered by a lack of participation in elections. In the last presidential election, almost half of the population did not vote. The low participation rate means many people are not satisfied with politics. Especially the poor and disadvantaged are less likely to vote because they think they are ignored by politicians. The only way to break this cycle is to make voting a must. Voting is a duty in many other countries and we should adopt the same system. As we force people to wear seatbelts by law to secure their safety, we should do the same in the case of voting.

Person B There are many reasons why people do not vote. Many people cannot get away from work or find someone to look after their children. For some people, it is physically hard to get to a polling booth and others are not simply interested in politics. None of these situations can be changed even if the government forces people to vote. The right to vote should be balanced by the right not to vote. Even if politicians make voting a must, they cannot avoid the responsibility of low voting rates. For me, it seems they are just trying to hide their unpopularity.
