THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL AND HOSTS GREEN CLIMATE FUND
The Republic of Korea was elected as 2013- 2014 non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. The country was also chosen to host the secretariat of the Green Climate Fund. Korea’s election to the UN Security Council marks the second time, following the 1996-97 term. President Lee -bak expressed that Korea will ly involve in getting the world prepared for climate change.
