Oaklands Crossing Grade Separation Project
The $174 million project is being jointly funded by the Australian Government - $95 million, the State Government - $74 million and the City of Marion - $5 million.
The project will:
improve travel times and reduce travel time variability for vehicles utilising the crossing (commuter, business and freight)
improve safety by removing a road-rail crossing point as part of the Railway Crossing Safety Strategy
improve cycling and walking accessibility and safety by removing conflicts have the potential to act as a catalyst for development and renewal in the area.

The Lucky Bay Port Facility
South Australia’s first farmer and private equity partnership port will be built at Lucky Bay on Eyre Peninsula, providing an alternative grain storage and export option which will be fully operational for the 2018-19 grain harvest.
The Lucky Bay development is a $115 million project, including $96 million in private investor equity and debt.
Traditionally, the cost of moving grain from the farm to port has been one of the largest costs in grain production.
The Lucky Bay development innovates upon the traditional port model and almost mon opolistic grain supply chain in South Australia through proven transhipping technology t hat has been utilised in other industries for the past 20 years.

The Northern Connector is a new non-stop motorway connecting the already completed Northern Expressway and South Road Superway links and is expected to provide an unimpeded journey from Gawler to Regency Park; a total of 43 kilometres.

Aurora Solar Energy Project: Future of Clean Energy for South Australia
The Aurora Solar Energy Project located near Port Augusta is a 150 megawatt solar thermal power station incorporating 8 hours of storage (1100 megawatts-hours) Aurora will deliver over 500 gigawatt-hours of energy annually – providing fully dispatchable baseload electricity to the network when electricity is needed most.
Storage will enable the solar thermal station to operate just like a conventional coal or gas power station, reliably generating electricity day and night – except without any emissions.
The project is to be located approximately 30kms north of the town on a vast pastoral station.

The Former Royal Adelaide Hospital Site
The former Royal Adelaide Hospital (FRAH) site will be transformed into a creation and innovation neighbourhood that will create high-value jobs and industries securing the future for generations of South Australians to come and positioning Adelaide as the start-up capital of Australia.

City of Adelaide’s Smart City Agenda
Smart Parking in the City with the Park Adelaide App
Smart parking is a key initiative of the City of Adelaide's Smart City agenda and additionally supports the city's sustainability aspirations by reducing circulating traffic, congestion and carbon emissions.
Demand for parking is high in the City of Adelaide is high with over 200,000 vehicles accessing the city everyday.
A new mobile app will be launched in mid-2018 enabling drivers to locate, pay for and remotely top-up their car park to the maximum available limit. The app will also provide directions for drivers to available spaces; display easy-to-understand information about parking controls; and deliver alerts when a parking session is about to expire.

Adelaide-Tarcoola Rail Upgrade Acceleration Project Rail upgrade between Adelaide and Tarcoola
The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) will fast track a major upgrade to the east-west national rail network.
The upgrade will involve 1200 kilometres of rail replacement between Adelaide and Tarcoola, and will deliver a substantial boost to freight productivity in South Australia and the national freight network.
The ARTC will partner with Arrium Steel to deliver the upgrade, substantially boosting demand for steel production at the Whyalla facility.

Australian Energy Storage Knowledge Bank:
Mobile and Flexible Microgrid Test Platform with Battery Storage
Australian Energy Storage Knowledge Bank project and associated test system has been designed and developed by South Australian researchers aimed to accelerate growth of energy storage industry in Australia by real tests on system components and applications, knowledge sharing and training. This unique mobile test unit is highly flexible and can be reconfigured to form a microgrid anywhere in Australia. A central repository and a Web page has been developed to include case studies, trial / test data, network performance outcomes, storage system level, environmental data, battery level data, link with other databases / projects around Australia and the world, reports and research publications. In this presentation, the details of the system and experienced gain from the tests and trials will be explained. In addition, opportunities in battery storage technologies will be covered to provide a vision for the industry and end users.

A $330 million redevelopment of the Adelaide Casino will include new gaming areas, a rooftop bar and a luxury hotel. SA Water’s Smart Water Network
As part of SA Water’s ongoing commitment to improving services, we have installed a ‘smart water network’ for the Adelaide Central Business District (CBD). More than 300 sensors collecting information on flow, pressure, water quality and leakage, plus 100 customer smart meters have been installed. Since July 2017 these sensors have been transmitting to our Internet of Things (IoT) hub and advanced water analytics platform to provide us with insights and a deeper understanding on our network performance and customer impacts. SA Water can now identify and locate network faults before they cause disruption and proactively work with customers to improve network performance.
