Ⅲ. Eligibility for Application
1. Applicant and his/her parents must be citizens of a foreign country.
* Applicant who has Korean citizenship is not eligible to apply
2. Applicants should be in good health, both mentally and physically, to stay in Korea for a long period of time.
※Applicants must submit "Personal Medical Assessment" during the application process and if admitted, he/she must submit an "Official Medical Assessment"
issued by a medical doctor. If serious conditions are found including HIV and drug related issues in which long term international study can be affected, admission will be rescinded prior to applicant's entry to Korea.
3. Should be under 40 years of age as of September 1, 2011 (Born after September 1, 1971)
4. Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree as of September 1, 2011
※Applicants who are in the process of enrolling or have previously enrolled in the same academic program in Korea (to which they are currently applying for), are not eligible to apply.
※For Master's program: students who hold a Bachelor's degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than Bachelor's degree
※For Doctoral program: students who hold a Master's degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than Master's degree.
5. Possess a GPA of at least 80% on a percentage scale or those who can be considered to have credentials equivalent to above.
※If the official grade cannot be calculated on a percentage scale or into a GPA, applicant must submit an official document issued by their school explaining the reason for the same.
※ NOTE
1. If applicant submits either a Korean Proficiency Exam Score(TOPIK, KLPT) or English Proficiency Exam Score(TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS) they will be awarded additional points or be given a preferential selection status in the initial round of evaluation. (If applicable)

Ⅴ. Application Procedure
Admission decisions are based on the candidate's academic achievements and potential, as well as his or her personal accomplishments.The admissions committee reviews a number of factors including records of past studies (such as GPA), study plan, personal statement, and letters of recommendation. Other achievement records and specific qualifications such as language proficiency are also taken into consideration. Candidate's application is reviewed in the context of the level of studies completed, quality of achievement and characteristics of institutions attended. Finally, the appropriateness of the applicant's academic goals and suitability of preparation for the proposed program of studies are assessed.
Interviews, examinations, and/or additional documents may be required from the applicant, based on the policy of the specific college or department. If the applicant is applying to the College of Fine Arts, the College of Music, the Department of Physical Education or the Fine Arts Education, the applicant will be notified individually as necessary.

Ⅶ . Important Notes
- Applicant must contact a professor in the college of their choice and inform of their attention to apply and submit their Evaluation Report (Appendix 1) to the appropriate professor.
- After submitting the Evaluation Report, applicant must submit the required application documents to the Office of Admissions by February 18, 2011 (Fri.).
- If the applicant is currently enrolled in a university in Korea or have previously been enrolled in a university in Korea or are currently taking graduate courses in Korea they are NOT eligible to apply for this program.
- Applicant may apply through only a single recommending institution, which includes diplomatic office, university, adoption organization. If applicant applies via more than one recommending institution, (i.e. two different universities or from a university and from diplomatic office) he/she will be eliminated from the selection list.
- Documents submitted to the recommending institution for the application process, will not be returned.
- If the information submitted in the application package is unclear or if any part of the application material are missing, his/her application will not be sent for evaluation. If the above issues are found after the admission has been offered, the offered admission will be rescinded.
- All submitted documents must be originals. If the document is not drafted in Korean or English, it must be accompanied by a certified Korean or English translation.
- Personal Medical Assessment cannot contain any false information. If any conditions which can affect long term international study are found during the health examination conducted after the offered admission, the admission decision will be rescinded.
- Submit 1~2 copies of the dissertation/thesis for the record of the same
- For record of awards, submit photocopies of the awards notarized/certified by the issuing institution.
- Applicants who have completed their undergraduate study in Korea, must submit a recommendation letter completed by the dean of the department from the applicable school
- Once the applicant is offered admission, he/she cannot change the school of their choice.
- If submitting a photocopy of the required document, applicant must obtain a form of certification/notary from the issuing institution confirming the validity of the copy as being the same as the original.
