I am greatly pleased to introduce to you Semyung University in Jecheon City, South Korea.
I am writing this letter in an attempt to recruit foreign students for the” Semyung CHARM Global Scholarship Program” used to called as "Semyung ACE Global Scholarship Program"
which had officially began in the academic year of 2012.
This program has been specially prepared to invite students from abroad who excel in their specific areas of study. In addition to a one year Korean language learning service, they will be provided full scholarships covering tuition, on-campus housing and meals for the duration of their five year stay (1 year in a Korean Immersion Program as well as 4 years of undergraduate study at Semyung University).
By nurturing these foreign students as civilian ambassadors, Semyung University is expecting them to be capable of delivering proficiency in the Korean language as well as introducing their own cultures to the world.
Including the College of Oriental Medicine, the university has 4 colleges and 43 departments.
It has been recognized as one of the highest-level private universities in the central region of South Korea. Over the green campus of 2.1 million square meters, approximately 8,500 Korean students plus 250 foreign students are working towards their degrees in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Since 2015, the Ministry of Education appointed Semyung University as an institute for the Korean Government Scholarship Program for foreign students and an IEQAS (International
Education Quality Assurance System)-certified university. Accordingly, students from any countries will be provided with the best quality education offered in state-of-the-art educational facilities. Students will also be provided with on-campus housing and meals.

Please be so kind as to recommend one prospective student, who you feel the best represents your country and culture to come join us here at Semyung University. They will start attending Korean language programs at the International Education Center in March 2018.
After completing a one-year intensive Korean language course (or obtaining over Level 3 on the TOPIK test <Test of Proficiency in Korean>), they will be provided an opportunity to apply for any of our undergraduate programs for the following semester starting in March 2019. We believe that offering full scholarships for the entire five years of undergraduate study and preliminary Korean Language Course will enable foreign students to focus on their studies and later to go on to have successful careers in various fields in their own countries.
We would greatly appreciate your recommendation of such prospective students with the help of your Ministry of Education or other officials in this field.

2018학년도 외국인 유학생 대상 ‘세명 CHARM Global 장학 프로그램’의 학생유치를 위
하여 귀 기관에 서한을 보내게 되었습니다.
이 프로그램은 'ACE글로벌장학 프로그램‘으로 2011년부터 해외의 우수한 인재를 초청하여
한국 세명대학교에서 1년간 한국어 연수과정과 4년간 학부 교육에 관하 수업료, 기숙사
(식대포함)비용 등의 부대비용 전액을 지원하고 있습니다. 세명대학교는 본교의 교육역량 에 걸맞은 ’세명 CHARM Global 장학프로그램‘으로 프로그램명을 변경하여 좀 더 나은
장학프로그램으로 거듭나고자 합니다. 또한 이를 통해 친한국적 민간대사 역할을 할 글로
벌 인재를 양성하고자 합니다.
현재 세명대학교는 한의과 대학을 포함하여 4개 단과대학, 43개의 학과에 8,500여명의 내
국인 학생과 14개국의 외국인 학생들이 수학하고 있으며, 2015년부터 국립국제교육원 외
국인유학생 유치·관리역량 인증대학으로 선정되었으며, 정부 초청 외국인 장학생 수학대
학으로 선정되었습니다. 그 외에 CK사업 및 창업맞춤형 산업화 지원 사업 등을 운영하고
있는 중부지역의 명문사립대학입니다.
