Talk about when you had to replace lightbulbs.

전구를 갈아야 했던 경험에 대해 이야기해 주세요.
지난번에 거실에 있는 형광등이 깜빡거리기 시작했 다. 조금 더 있다 보니, 아예 점등이 되지 않았다.
화장실 쪽 전구도 하나 나간 상황이라서 전구를 사 러 갈 때가 되었다고 생각했다.
일단, 각각의 전구 소켓에 어떤 전구가 들어가는지 핸드폰으로 사진을 찍었다. 철물점에 가서 직원분 에게 사진을 보여 주면서, 맞는 백열전구와 형광등 을 구매했다.
집에 와서 일단 전원을 내리고 드라이버로 전구 위 의 덮개를 모두 뺐다.
그리고 전구를 교체하고 다시 덮개를 고정시켰다.
특히 마루의 형광등 교체는 의자에 올라가서 천장 을 올려다보고 해야 하는 작업이어서 조금 힘들었 다. 다 쓴 전구들은 재활용 수거통 앞에 있는 전구 수거통에 조심스럽게 내다 버렸다.

Stop putting it off. 그만 좀 미뤄.
A: The light in the bathroom is still broken. When will you fix it?
B: It just needs a new lightbulb. I'll replace it tomorrow.
A: It's been broken for three days already. Stop putting it off.
B: Okay, I'll go to the store for new lightbulbs right now.
A: 화장실 조명이 아직도 안 들어와. 언제 고칠 예정이야?
B: 전구만 새것으로 바꾸면 돼. 내일 교체할게.
A: 벌써 3일째 고장 상태라고, 그만 좀 미뤄.
B: 알았어. 지금 가게에 가서 새 전구를 사올게.

screwdriver 드라이버
우리말로는 '드라이버'가 표준어지만, 영어로는 적 합하지 않은 표현이다. 정확하게 screwdriver이라 고 말해야 하며, 종류에 따라 '일자 드라이버'는 flat-head screwdriver, '십자 드라이버'는 Phillips screwdriver이라고 한다.
