Ar띠gentηtin떠a’s more extensive system of agricultural production was not coml가~tible with the more intensive Korean farming. There are currently 30，000 Koreans living in Argentina ，mostly in the garment industry.
Even if the first generation had many difficulties in its early stages in this count깨，their efforts and inexhaustible diligence enabled them to get over them first and then triumph ，often advancing
professionally. The success story ofthe Koreans in Argentina is also owed to the generous immigration p이icies of the Argentine governments.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Korean immigration in Argentina we have organized various activities ，mostly c비tural and academic - Korean art exhibitions ，cinema and food festivals ，competitions for K-Pop (Korean pop music or Gangnam ，also on a Latin American scale) ，musical concerts and Korean studies seminars.
During many (even most) of those 50 years the Korean eommunity was the most numerous Asian one here although the Chinese have now elearly taken the lead and this gives rise to at least tw

The societies of China and Korea share the common influence of Confucian traditions ，which is why there is a good understanding between tt)e people of both nations in Argentina. The Chinese community here is not only the biggest but also the fastest-growing. 80th communities co-operate actively. For example ， in the lunar New Year festival recently celebrated by the Chinese community ，the Korean community sent a fan dance group.
