Deadline is in two days and there are times that I just don’t know what to say. Some tell me I need to write something meaningful. This month, I decided to follow that advice. However, this may be just another clichéd story. In my opinion. I don’t know when this all started, but the word ‘handmade’ is automatically being added to high-end products. Chanel, Hermès, Bottega Veneta, IWC, Hublot, Rolex, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Ferrari all shared the same motto: “The Touch of a Master Craftsman.” What is a master? Is this someone who worked diligently to mas- ter his skills in a chosen craft? Or is this person a living human treasure designated by the na- tion? Then, what are the criteria? Handmade refers to things that are made by hand and not by machine. It is made by “the person.” When something is made by “the person,” it must entail sincerity and earnestness. A little rough and crude, this item displays one’s heart rather than one’s skill. The process of creating a magazine has changed throughout the years. Luckily, I have been able to participate in both manual and digital publishing. Back in those days, I used to run to the printer with the color films in my hands. Whenever I tell this story to fellow editors, they think I’m too old school. However, I strongly believe the power and passion I possessed made me who I am now. Therefore, I can proudly say this. How about reading a magazine with the
“Touch of a Master Editorial Team”?
마감 이틀 전 이 글을 쓰고 있는 이때. 무슨 이야기를 해야 할지 막막할 때가 있다. ‘그래도 편집장의 글인데 뭔 가 의미 있는 이야기를 해야지’ 라고 말하는 사람들도 있다. 그래서 이번 호는 조금 의미 있는 조금은 뻔한 이야 기를 할까 한다. 물론 내 기준에서. 언젠가부터 고급상품 뒤에는 hand made라는 수식어가 따라다닌다. 샤넬, 에르메스, 보테가베네타, IWC, 위블로, 롤렉스, 벤틀리, 람보르기니, 페라리등 이들 명품브랜드 에서 공통적으로 내세우는 한마디 ‘장인이 한땀한땀 만들었습니다.’
장인정신이란 무엇일까. 단지 한 분야에서 오랜 세월을 보내며 거기에 합당한 기술을 갈고 닦아 경지에 오른 사람, 아니면 국가에서 지정하고 인정해준 인간문화재? 그러면 그 기준은 또 무엇일까. Hand made 란 말 그 대로 손으로 만들었다는 얘기, 기계가 아닌 사람이 만들었다는 것이다. 손이 아닌 사람이 만드는 그것의 기준 은 진심과 진정성이어야 하지 않을까. 기술이 아닌 마음으로 조금은 거칠고 투박해도 만든 이의 진심이 보이는 그것. 지금은 잡지를 만드는 일도 예전과는 사뭇 다르다. 운 좋게도 나는 아날로그와 디지털을 모두 경험하며 책을 만들고 있다. 예전 마감을 생각하며 4도 필름을 들고 출력소를 뛰어다니던 얘기를 하면 지금 에디터들은 아마 날 고리타분한 꼰대로 생각 할 수도 있다. 그래도 그 시절의 진심과 열정이 지금도 나를 책상에 앉혀두고 있는 거라 확신한다. 그래서 자신 있게 말할 수 있다. 우리 편집팀이 한 땀 한 땀 손으로 만든 책 한권 보시죠.

엔 브라질은 처음 방문이기도 하고, 한국과 거리가 멀기 때문에 쉽게 갈 수 있는 나라는 아닐 것이라 생각했는데, 홍보대사로서 가게 되어 기대 가 커요. 브라질에도 빅스 팬들이 있을까 궁금한 마음도 있구요. 가서 직접 확인하고 싶어요.
한류 열풍 대열에서 빅스도 빠질 수 없는데요. 해외에서 공연을 할 때 느꼈던 한류에 대한 관심은 어느 정도였나요? 특별하고 재미있는 에피 소드가 있었다면 알려주세요.
혁 일본을 가장 많이 갔는데요. 정말 많은 분들이 정식 데뷔도 전에 응 원을 해주셔서 놀라기도 했어요. 작년에는 유럽 쇼 케이스 때 여러 나 라들을 다니면서 그곳에 있는 빅스 팬들을 보고도 많이 놀랐던 기억 이 있습니다. 신기하기도 했구요. 빅스를 알리기 위해 더 열심히 활동 할 예정입니다.
빅스는 화려하고 리듬감 넘치는 음악과 함께 강렬한 모습으로 비춰질 때가 많죠. 오늘은 네츄럴함이 컨셉이였는데, 무대 위에서와 일상생활 에서의 모습은 어떤 차이점이 있나요?
홍빈 무대 위 에서는 강렬한 눈빛을 쏘고 섹시함을 두르고 있지만, 무 대가 아닌 일상생활에서는 흔한 동네 오빠나 형 같은 평범하고 소소한 느낌이 가득하죠.
쉴 때는 각자 어떤 모습인가요? 취미생활은요?
엔 연습을 하기도 하고, 그냥 가만히 쉬기도 해요. 최근엔 가수활동과 드라마 촬영으로 바쁜 편이라, 잠시 쉬는 시간이 생기면 생각하는 시간 을 가지면서 편하게 있으려고 해요. 켄 드라마를 보거나 그림을 그리고, 음악을 들으며 게임을 해요. 홍빈 저 같은 경우 휴식 시간이 주어진다면 영화를 본다던가 사진을 찍는다던가 드라마를 몰아서 본다던가 여러가 지 혼자 즐길 수 있는 일들을 하는 것 같아요. 라비 주로 영화를 보는 거 같아요. 취미생활로도 주로 영화를 보는 편이에요. 레오 : 곡 작업을 하거나 노래를 듣거나 책을 읽어요. 혁 형들하고 이야기를 나누기도 하 고, 제가 부족한 부분을 연습하기도 해요. 최근엔 보컬 연습을 열심히 했구요. 앞으로는 틈틈이 외국어 공부를 하고 싶기도 해요.
다른 아이돌 그룹에서는 찾을 수 없는, 빅스만의 매력은 뭐라고 생각 하나요?
라비 판타지스러운 컨셉과 음악, 가사, 퍼모먼스 등 모든 것을 한가지 컨셉으로 꾸며 극대화 시킨 모습들이 빅스의 특별함인 것 같습니다.

‘Touch Your heart.’
데뷔한 지 4년. “진짜 그것 밖에 안 됐어?”라는 말이 나올 듯 싶다. 그만 큼 씨스타는, 짧은 기간 내에 가장 대중적이면서도 ‘한국 최고의 걸 그 룹’이라는 수식어가 전혀 무색하지 않은 자리에까지 올라 있다. 수많은 걸 그룹들이 명멸해가는 한국 대중음악계에서 씨스타의 존재는 그 자체 만으로도 ‘Touch my heart’다.
From 2009 to 2010: The battle of the girl groups…and the appearance of sisTar
In June, 2010, a group of four girls debuted with a single al- bum called Push Push. In 2010, the K-POP scene was satu- rated with new acts. Starting with Girls’ Generation who de- buted in 2007, Davichi, 4 Minute, T-ara, Secret, 2NE1, f(x), and After School all debuted between 2008 and 2009. It is no exaggeration to say that every possible girl group combi- nation has been out in the market.
It was also around this time when audiences became a lit- tle sick and tired of seeing the same thing. The groups tried their best to twerk the details here and there but still they all looked the same. However, girl groups kept coming out in 2010 - Girl’s Day, Miss A, 9 Muses. It was evident that girl groups played a huge role in creating the K-POP trend.
Therefore, it is not easy to succeed in this over-saturated market. From vocals to choreography, the group had to make a strong impression or else they would just disappear like the many others. From 2009 until 2010, it was a huge battle among the girl groups.
sisTar’s True colors – 3 single albums & 1st album SISTAR is standing in the middle of the battlefield with their first Single Album Push Push. From the hip hop track “Here We Come” to the medium tempo ballad “Oh Baby”, the fa- mous music producer and composer Brave Brothers also par- ticipated in the album. Unfortunately, their album did not at- tract much attention. They were regarded as one of the many other girl groups. If SISTAR had decided to stop making mu- sic, what would have happened? SISTAR as we know them to- day would never have existed. Consisting of four members - Soyou, Bora, Dasom, and Hyolyn – it was not just the single album that they were preparing. Every two to three months, they would release a new single such as “Shady Girl”, and
“How Dare You” and slowly started to show their true colors.
Their second single “Shady Girl” is a song created by world-renowned composer Eliot Kennedy who worked with artists such as Bryan Adams and the Spice Girls. The song, “I Don’t Want A Weak Man”, is a pop ballad with a sophisticated melody. Then they released their third album “How Dare You”
and in 2011, their first full album “So Cool”. SISTAR got rid of their hip hop style and started pursuing a more electronica style. This is when SISTAR really started to find their niche.
2013 Top song on every k-PoP chart “give it To me”
In 2012, SISTAR didn’t have time for a breather. In April, they released their first Mini Album ALONE and then in June, their Special Album Loving U. Another famous music producer Duble Sidekick participated and SISTAR’s Album became tru- ly one of a kind.
In June 2013, SISTAR’s second album Give It To Me came out on the scene. Their title song “Give It To Me” became a phe- nomenal hit and was ranked on top of every K-POP Chart.
Other songs such as “The Way You Make Me Melt”, featuring Geeks, and “Crying,” with its great vocals, received great at- tention and SISTAR became a solid girl group.
SISTAR won many awards including: The Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Awards, Mnet Asian Music Awards (Best Dance Performance, Style in Music, Golden Disk Awards (Digital Bonsang, CeCi Asia Icon Award), Seoul Music Award (Bonsang), and the Gaon Chart K-Pop Award (Song of the Year). In 2013, it was the year of “Give It To Me”. In such a short period of time, SISTAR became the ‘Best Korean Girl Group.’ Now, SISTAR is ready to take a break.
Pleasing the eyes and ears…and the mind
Last July, SISTAR came back on stage. They may have felt the pressure of trying to create the next hit song after “Give It To Me”. However, they proudly presented their second Mini Al- bum TOUCH N MOVE. It is innocent and healthy. That’s right.
SISTAR is not just sexy, but healthy and sexy. Listening to
“Touch My Body”, this song does not just please the eyes and ears, it pleases the mind.
I first met SISTAR when I was writing an article about them last September. One year has passed. A lot of questions were left unanswered and a lot of pictures were not published. I wonder if they can fulfill our readers this time.
SISTAR has been running in this ongoing race since their de- but. I have no doubt that they will continue to please our eyes and ears for a long time. They are already our perfect SISTAR.

2009~2010년 걸 그룹들의 일대 혈전, 그리고 씨스타의 등장 2010년 6월, 4명으로 구성된 걸 그룹 하나가 <Push Push>라는 이 름의 싱글앨범을 들고 데뷔한다. 하지만 당시, 한국 대중음악계는 이 미 걸 그룹 포화상태. 2007년 데뷔한 ‘소녀시대’를 시작으로 2008년 과 2009년에는 다비치와 포미닛, 티아라, 시크릿, 2NE1, f(x), 애프터 스쿨 등 걸 그룹으로 만들어질 수 있는 아이돌은 모두 나왔다고 해도 과언이 아니었다.
게다가 비슷한 듯 하면서도 약간씩 다른 섹시 혹은 귀여운 콘셉트에 대 중의 눈과 귀가 점차 지쳐가기 시작한 것도 이때쯤. 뿐만 아니라 2010 년에도 걸스데이와 미쓰에이, 나인뮤지스 등 걸 그룹들의 데뷔가 계속 해서 이어지면서 ‘한국 대중음악의 트렌드는 걸 그룹 노래 안에 모두 녹 아 들어있다’는 말이 심심치 않게 들리기도 했다.
어쨌든, 당시 데뷔했던 걸 그룹들 사이에서 제대로 자리를 잡기란 쉬운 일이 아니었다. 노래면 노래, 안무면 안무, 어느 것 하나라도 대중들의 머리 속에 기억되지 않으면 데뷔한 지 몇 달이 채 되지도 않아 사라져 버리는 걸 그룹들이 허다했다. 2009~2010년의 한국 대중음악계에서 는 그야말로 걸 그룹들의 일대 혈전이 벌어지고 있었다.
세 장의 싱글앨범과 한 장의 정규앨범에 숨어든 ‘씨스타 본색’
싱글앨범 <Push Push>를 들고 전장의 한 가운데 선 걸 그룹, 그들의 이 름은 씨스타. 힙합의 느낌이 강하게 녹아 들어있는 <Here We Come>, 그리고 씨스타의 또 다른 매력을 느낄 수 있는 미디엄 템포의 <Oh Baby>까지. 여기엔 한국 대중음악계의 실력파 작곡가이자 프로듀서인
‘용감한 형제’도 함께했다. 하지만 예상 외로 대중의 반응은 뜨뜻미지근 했다. 대부분의 사람들은 그냥 ‘수많은 걸 그룹들 중에 하나’라는 생각 으로 그녀들의 데뷔앨범을 접했다. 만약 여기에서 씨스타가 음악활동 을 잠시 쉬었다면 어땠을까. 어쩌면 지금의 그녀들이 없었을지도 모르 는 일. 그러나 소유, 보라, 다솜, 효린. ‘씨스타’라는 이름으로 뭉쳐진 4명 의 그녀들이 오랜 기간 동안 준비해온 건 이것뿐만이 아니었다. 싱글앨 범 <가식걸>과 <니까짓게>를 2~3개월 간의 시간차를 두고 선보이면서
‘씨스타 본색’을 점차 알려나가기 시작한다.
특히 두 번째 싱글앨범 <가식걸>에는 그래미 어워드 수상자이자 브라 이언 아담스, 스파이스 걸스의 곡들을 작업한 것으로도 잘 알려진 세 계적인 작곡가 ‘엘리어트 케네디(Eliot Kennedy)’의 곡 <약한 남자 싫 어>가 수록돼 한층 세련된 느낌의 팝 발라드를 들려 주었으며, 세 번 째 싱글앨범 <니까짓게>에 이어 2011년에는 대망의 1집 정규앨범 <So Cool>을 발표하게 된다. 데뷔 초기, 싱글앨범 전체에 가득했던 힙합 느 낌을 조금은 벗어버리고 <Girls Do It>, <New World> 등 좀 더 대중적
인 일렉트로니카 사운드를 담아내며 씨스타의 색깔을 찾아가기 시작 한 것도 이때였다.

2012년에도 그녀들의 음악활동엔 휴식이 없었다. 4월, 첫 번째 미니앨 범 <ALONE>에 이어 6월에는 스페셜 앨범 <Loving U>까지. 여기에 한 국 대중음악계의 또 다른 실력파 작곡가이자 프로듀서인 ‘이단옆차기’
가 합류하게 되면서 씨스타는, 말 그대로 한국 최고 제작진들의 역량이 모두 결집된 앨범들을 쏟아내게 된다.
그리고 드디어 2013년 6월. 씨스타를 한국 최고의 걸 그룹으로 격상시 킨 2집 정규앨범 <Give It To Me>가 발매된다. 특히 이 앨범의 타이틀곡
<Give It To Me>는 순식간에 한국 대중가요차트를 모조리 휩쓸어버린 다. 타이틀곡 외에도 ‘긱스’가 피처링 한 <넌 너무 야해>, 폭발적인 가창 력이 돋보이는 <Crying> 등 수록 곡들이 고르게 사랑 받으며 씨스타의 입지를 더욱 단단하게 했다.
또한 씨스타는 이 앨범을 통해 ‘대한민국 대중문화예술상 문화체육관 광부장관 표창’, ‘Mnet 아시안 뮤직 어워드’ 2개 부문 수상, ‘제28회 골 든디스크 어워즈’ 2개 부문 수상, ‘제23회 하이원 서울가요대상 본상’,
‘제3회 가온차트 K-POP 어워드 올해의 가수상’ 음원부문 수상 등 시 상식 무대들까지 휩쓸어버리며, 2013년 한 해를 <Give It To Me>로만 기억되게 만들었다. 어쨌든, 씨스타는 그렇게 단기간 내에 ‘한국 최고 의 걸 그룹’ 자리에 오르게 됐다. 그리고 씨스타는 몇 달간의 휴식기에 접어들게 된다.
달팽이관을 타고 들어와 뇌를 황홀케 하는 그녀들
지난 7월, 여지없이 그녀들은 다시 얼굴을 보였다. 두 번째 미니앨범
<TOUCH N MOVE>를 들고. 지난 앨범 <Give It To Me>의 커다란 성공 이 부담됐을 법도 한데, 해맑다. 그리고 건강하다. ‘그렇지. 씨스타의 매 력은 섹시함을 넘어선, 이런 건강함이었지’ 싶다. 잠시 잠깐 우울해지려 다가도 <Touch My Body>를 들으면, 그녀들이 달팽이관을 타고 들어와 뇌를 만져준 것마냥 금세 촉촉해진다.
지난해 9월호, 커버스토리 화보촬영과 기사를 쓰며 처음 만났던 씨스 타. 그리고 이제 딱 1년 후 사진으로 다시 만나게 된 그녀들. 지난번에 만족시켜주지 못했던 것들을 기사로, 화보로, 이번엔 다시 되돌려줄 수 있을까. 데뷔 이후 끊임없이 서로를 다독이며 줄달음쳐온 씨스타. 그녀 들이 좀 더 오랫동안, 앞으로도 긴 시간 동안 수많은 사람들의 달팽이관 을 황홀케 만들어 줄 것이라는 건 의심할 여지도 없다. 왜? 씨스타는 그 자체만으로 이미 완성되어 있는, 가장 완벽한 씨스타니까.

Lee Jung-hyun is a veteran actress with 17 years of experi- ence starting from her sensational performance at age 18 in A Petal to Roaring Currents (Myeongryang), the film which set the record for reaching 10 million admissions in the shortest amount of time. Her passion for acting is well rep- resented on screen. Rather than just pretending to be some- one, Lee really becomes the person when she is acting. Her role in Roaring Currents did not have any speaking lines and was not even in many scenes. However, people cried with her because they could really feel her heartrending sorrow. That is how Lee will be remembered as the Lady Jeong.
Interviewer: “You were the most searched movie person on a search engine yesterday (August 12). ’Ten million viewers’
in the ‘shortest period of time’ are the phrases that describe you now. How do you feel about it?”
Lee Jung-hyun: “I am honored and honestly, I still cannot be- lieve it. I want to thank all the viewers who gave great re- views of the film. It was a true honor to be in the film about Yi Sun-sin, who I admire. In addition, I want to thank all the ac- tors including Choi Min-sik, Ryu Seung-ryong, the crew, and Kim Han-min, the director of the film. Many co-workers and movie people have contacted me to support and congratu- late me. Every day feels like a dream.”
Interviewer: “You have secured your position as a great ac- tress since A Petal 18 years ago to Night Fishing, Juvenile Of- fender, and Roaring Currents. How would you evaluate your performance as Lady Jeong in Roaring Currents?”
Lee Jung-hyun: “I am never satisfied with my performance.
But I am happy and glad that many viewers liked how I per- formed in the film. I will continue to do my best to become an actress who moves people with her acting.”
Interviewer: “I heard you had lost 5 kilograms for the role and cancelled all your appointments to stay at home for 15 days before the shooting. Isn’t it harder to get out of your role, if you immerse yourself so deeply into the character?”
Lee Jung-hyun: “For me, it works the opposite way. I get out of my role as soon as the director yells, ‘cut’. Therefore, rath- er than feeling difficult, I feel free and easy, once the filming is over. On the other hand, the process of getting into and be- coming the character before filming is the hardest part for me. For this film, especially, all I thought about were the poor

I felt so strongly that I should not be feeling happy that I canceled all of my appoint- ments with my friends to stay at home in order to become one with Lady Jeong. In addition, to portray a woman during wartime, I tried losing weight and ended up losing five kilo- grams.”

Lee Jung-hyun: “I am more than glad to see them, too. I am happy that more people are welcoming me back since the film is for all ages. I did release albums in Korea every one to two years, but I mostly performed abroad to the point that I only got to be on stage here for two weeks to one month at most. So, only teenagers who watch music programs knew that I was back with new albums. Now, however, everyone including the old ladies and guys at the market welcome me back which couldn’t make me happier.”
Interviewer: “Many actors are entering the Chinese enter- tainment industry with the help of Korean dramas. Do you have any concerns or advice for them?”
Lee Jung-hyun: “First of all, I am proud of you all. I am always so happy whenever I run into you abroad. Well, I know all of you are doing great but as long as you keep yourselves mod- est, fans all over the world will continue to love you. I know busy schedules can be overwhelming, but you will do better and receive more attention when you throw all you’ve got into it and enjoy what you are doing. Don’t lose your sense of grat- itude toward your fans, humbly accept their love, and keep doing what you do.”

대사 없이 눈빛 만으로, 수화를 배우지 않고 직접 만들어
17년 전 나이답지 않은 연기로 그야말로 센세이션을 일으켰던 영화 <꽃 잎>을 시작으로, 한국 영화 사상 가장 빠른 시간 안에 1,000만 관객 을 끌어낸 <명량>까지. 그녀는 올해로 연기 18년 차에 접어든 베테랑 배우다. 연기에 대한 욕심은 스크린에 고스란히 드러난다. 단순히 배역 을 맡는 것을 넘어 배역 그 자체가 되는 그녀. 한 마디의 대사도 없었 고 분량도 작았다. 하지만 <명량>을 본 관객들은 정씨 여인의 그 한 맺 힌 애달픔에 공감하며 그녀와 함께 울었다. 관객들은 그렇게 정씨 여 인을 기억한다.
Q 어제 (8월12일)자 온라인 포털사이트에서 영화인 인기 검색어 1위 더라. ‘최단시간, 천만기록’이라는 타이틀이 붙었다. 1,000만 배우가 된 것이 이젠 실감이 나는지.
정말 영광이고 아직도 믿기질 않는다. 이게 모두 좋은 입 소문 내준 관 객 여러분 덕분이다. 존경하는 이순신 장군님을 소재로 한 영화에 출연 하게 되어 정말 영광이고, 함께 연기한 최민식, 류승룡 선배님을 비롯한 모든 연기자분들, 스탭분들, 그리고 김한민 감독님께 감사하다. 동료 연 예인들이나 많은 영화관계자들로부터도 응원 메시지와 축하연락도 많 이 온다. 정말 하루하루 꿈만 같다.
Q 18년 전 <꽃잎>부터 <파란만장>, <범죄소년>에 이르러 <명량>을 통 해 여배우로서의 입지를 확실히 굳히고 있다. 특히 이번 <명량>에서 정 씨여인을 연기한 본인을 평가한다면.
항상 부족하다고 느낀다. 하지만 많은 관객들께서 좋게 봐주시고 감동 도 많이 느껴주셔서 나 역시 기쁘고 뿌듯하다. 앞으로도 항상 긴장감 을 잃지 않고 좋은 연기로 대중들에게 감동을 줄 수 있도록 노력하겠다.
Q 정씨 여인 연기를 위해 5kg을 감량하고, 촬영 보름 전부터 개인 약 속을 모두 취소하고 칩거생활을 했다고. 늘 연기할 때 온전히 그 캐릭 터에 몰입하는 것 같은데, 작품이 끝나고 빠져나올 때 힘들 것 같다.
나 같은 경우는 그 반대다. 촬영이 끝나고 컷 하는 순간과 함께 바로 빠 져 나오기 때문에 촬영 후에는 힘들지 않고, 오히려 홀가분하다. 오히려 작품이 들어가기 전 감정 잡는 과정이 정말 힘들었다. 특히 이번 영화 에선 역사적 사실과 항상 비운의 여인 정씨 여인만을 생각했다. 내 기 분이 행복하면 안된다는 생각에 친구들과의 사적인 약속들도 당연히 취소했고, 집에서 칩거하며 정씨 여인과 하나가 되기 위해 노력했다. 전 쟁터에 묻어난 여인의 모습을 만들기 위해 얼굴 살도 수척하게 빼다 보 니 5kg나 더 빠져있더라.
중국 한류스타, 오히려 고개를 숙여야 한다고 말하는 그녀
그녀가 중국에 진출하게 된 배경은 전형적인 아이돌이나 배우와 사뭇 다르다. <바꿔>, <와> 등 많은 히트곡을 내며 한국에서 가수로 활동하던 당시 중화권 가수가 <바꿔>를 표절했던 것. 안무와 멜로디는 물론 의상 컨셉과 헤어까지 그야말로 완벽한 표절이었다. 많은 중국 가수들은 이 정현의 노래를 따라 불렀고, 7곡 이상이 중국에서 대 히트를 치게 된다.
가짜 이정현에 열광하던 중국 사람들은 자연스럽게 진짜 이정현을 찾
지만 아무리 가까운 나라라고 해도 타지에서의 외로움이 있었을 것 같 다. 그런 이유로 다시 돌아온 이정현에게 관객들이 더욱 반가운 마음 이 드는 것도 사실이다.
나야말로 더욱 반갑고 기쁘다. 이번 영화는 초등학생부터 어르신들까지 전 연령대가 관람할 수 있는 덕분에 많이 반겨주시는 것 같아 정말 행 복하다. 사실 그 동안도 1~2년에 한번씩 국내에서 앨범을 발표하기는 했지만, 주로 해외활동 위주였기 때문에 국내 방송활동은 길어야 2주에 서 한 달이었다. 때문에 음악프로를 시청하는 10대들만 활동해 주는걸 알았는데, 이번에는 동네슈퍼 아주머니, 아저씨들까지 영화를 보고 정 말 반가워 해주시더라. 행복하다.
Q 요즘 한국 드라마 열풍으로 다시 차기 후배 한류스타들이 중국에 많 이 진출하고 있다. 한류 선배로서 그들에게 걱정스러운 부분이나 조언 해주고 싶은 점들이 있다면.
우선 후배님들이 정말 자랑스럽다. 가끔 해외공연이나 행사로 후배들을 만나면 정말 반갑더라. 음, 모두 잘하고 있지만, 항상 겸손만 잃지 않는 다면, 전 세계 모든 팬들의 사랑을 더 오래도록 받을 수 있을 것 같다.
스케줄이 힘들고 무척 피곤하겠지만, 자신을 내던지고 편하게 즐기면서 해야 일도 더욱 잘되고 해외에서도 꾸준한 러브콜을 유지할 수 있는 것 같다. 찾아주는 것에 대한 감사한 마음을 절대 잃지 말고, 겸손하게 받 아들이고 더욱 열심히 하길 바란다.
정씨 여인은 이정현, 그녀였기에 가능했다
그녀는 프로였다. 정오부터 저녁까지 9시간의 상당히 긴 촬영이었다. 해 가 저물고 마지막 착장을 준비하며 꾸벅꾸벅 졸며 메이크업을 받던 그 녀가 눈을 뜨더니 “다들 이 시간까지 배고파서 어떡해요”라며 스태프들 을 먼저 챙긴다. 다소 부탁하기 어려운 촬영을 할 때에도 그녀는 한 마 디의 불평도, 언짢은 내색도 없이 시종일관 “네~”라며 특유의 애교 섞 인 말투로 대답하며 임했다. 오랜 촬영에 지쳐 보이다가도 카메라 앞에 만 서면 눈빛부터 달라지는 그녀였다. 바스라질듯 가녀린 체구의 그녀 는 누구보다 강했다. 그리고 그 누구보다도 겸손했다. 이 자리까지 올 수 있었던 것은 결코 실력과 운 만이 아닌 것 같다.
Q 영화 배우로서 어린 나이에 스크린 데뷔, 독특한 콘셉트로 눈길을 끌 었던 가수 생활, 중국에서의 한류 스타로 성공, 노개런티를 받고 출연했 던 한국 영화들, 그리고 다시 돌아와 스크린에서 1,000만 배우로 거듭 나기까지. 이런 스토리들을 보면 단순히 운이 좋아 이 자리까지 온 것 은 아닌 것 같다. 앞으로의 계획과 꿈이 궁금하다.
우선 곧 개봉하는 영화 <성실한 나라의 앨리스>에서 정말 파격변신을 한다. 여자킬러로 나오는데, 반전이 기가 막힌다. 이 영화를 통해 팬들 에게 또 다른 모습을 선보이고 싶다. 차기작으로는 한국 영화나 드라마 를 검토 중이다. 한동안 국내에서 연기자 활동으로 찾아 뵙고 싶다. 이 후 내년에 싱글 앨범 발매가 있다. 죽을 때까지 좋은 연기자가 되기 위해 좋은 작품으로 계속 인사 드리고, 음악 팬들을 위해 새로운 컨셉의 앨범 도 꾸준히 발표할 것이다. 죽기 전까지 배우면 배우, 가수면 가수라 불리 lady Jeong was Possible only because of lee Jung-hyun
Lee is a professional. Today’s shoot took nine hours from noon to 9 p.m. During the preparation for the last shoot she fell asleep while getting her makeup done, but sudden- ly opened her eyes and said, “Ah, you all must be so hungry working till this hour!” putting the staff first. Whenever Lee was asked to do a difficult shot, she would not hesitate to say, “Sure” in her unique and lovely intonation. Lee looked tired from the long hours of shooting, but once the camera was on her eyes started burning with passion. Her slim fig- ure was possibly stronger and more humble than anyone else at the site. I could see that it was more than luck or skill that brought her where she is today.
Interviewer: “I think it was more than luck that you made a debut as an actress in the early years, to become a singer with a unique concept, to be successful as a Hallyu star in China, to act for free in some Korean films, and to be back to become an actress attracting 10 million viewers. What is your plan for the future and what is your dream?”
Lee Jung-hyun: “First of all, I made an extreme makeover for the film, Alice in Faithful Land, which will be released soon.
I play a female killer, but there is a great twist to it. I want to show different sides of myself through this film. For my next work, I am reviewing scripts for Korean dramas and films be- cause I want to stay and act in Korea for a while. For next year, I already have plans to release a single. I will continue to act in many good works to become a great actress, and re- lease as many albums with new concepts as possible for my music fans until the last day of my life. I want to stay at the hearts of people as a great artist until the end of my life.”
