Sixth Supplementary Report:
Appointment of an Assistant Director-General
1. In accordance with the Staff Regulations, appointments to vacancies of Deputy Director- General, Assistant Director-General and Treasurer and Financial Comptroller are made by the Director-General after consultation with the Officers of the Governing Body. On entering upon duties, these senior officials shall make and sign the prescribed declaration of loyalty before the Governing Body in public session.
2. Mr Gregory Johnson was appointed as Treasurer and Financial Comptroller in 2005 and in that capacity he made a declaration of loyalty before the Governing Body at its 292nd Session (March 2005). 1 After duly consulting the Officers of the Governing Body, in accordance with the Staff Regulations, the Director-General has promoted Mr Johnson in the same capacity to the Assistant Director-General level, with effect from 1 July 2015.
3. This decision is communicated to the Governing Body for information.
