Use of the Physical Effects of TRIZ and Patents

TRIZ is a theory of inventive problem solving. Using this theory, problems are solved ingeniously across the boundaries of sciences and technologies. TRIZ is important in science and engineering education. Trade-offs between two characteristics of a system that has a technical contradiction is not recommended. The database of scientific effects is used to solve problems. Among the effects of physics, chemistry, geometry, and biology, physical effects help the most in solving inventive problems. Patents, which are in the public domain of the web, are a treasure trove of technological information. Several examples of physical effects and related patents are suggested. These kinds of examples can be used in physics education.
