1. Resident Hall

A. Fee: Approximately 250,000 Won/Month B. Facilities

- Two persons share a room

- Serving 3 meals a day except Saturdays and Sundays

- Each room is furnished with a desk, chair, wardrobe, bed, shoe rack, bookshelf, Internet, bathroom, shower room, phone, desk lamp, etc.

※ You need to provide your own blanket and pillows, as well as toiletry (soap, towel, etc.)

- Common Room: lounge, seminar room, reading room, computer room, training room, AV room, Prayer room

- Attached Facilities: laundry room (coin operated), dining hall, convenience store (CVS), stationery store, cafe, etc.

2. CBNU International Buddy(CIB) Program

A. Program: 2 times a year (spring semester, fall semester) B. Meet Korean friends and International students(2:2 team)

Ⅳ. Introduction

Chonbuk National University is a global prestigious university that has contributed enormously to the development of region and the country.

It is the first national university in South-western region established in 1947. Its main campus is located in the most Korean city Jeonju with 1500 years of rich history.

Chonbuk National University has 122 major programs, 15 colleges, 4 speical graduate school with 1,022 professors and 32,3000 students.

Students include more than 1,000 international students across 50 countries studying for their bright future.

Chonbuk National University introduces various systems in order to enhance the field of education, research, academic-industrial cooperation and internationalization and as a result, it was selected as the most remarkable university from many university evaluation institutions. Currently, Chonbuk National University exchanges with 320 universities across 51 countries to strengthen international competitiveness and to carry forward campus internationalization. As the number of international students is becoming larger, support center for international students was established to provide better education environment and to help and consult their academic life, as to become a global campus.

2. Eligibility for Application

A. Applicants and their parents must be citizens of a country other than Korea.

※Applicants who have a dual nationality including Korean can not apply.

B. Applicants must be healthy enough so that they can sustainedly study in Korea.

※Applicants must submit the Personal Medical Assessment when applying.

C. Applicants must be under the age of 40 as of September 1, 2018.

D. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree or be graduate-to-be as of August 31, 2018.

※Applicants who graduated from Korean universities(college, undergraduate school, graduated school, etc) are not eligible to apply.

E. Applicants' grade point average(GPA) must be higher than 80 percent out of 100.

Applicants who have Korean language score(TOPIK, KLPT) or English score(TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS).

3. Application Procedure

- Admission decisions are based on the candidate's academic achievements and potential, as well as his/her personal accomplishments. The admissions committee reviews a number of factors including records of past studies (such as GPA), study plan, language proficiency and letters of recommendation.

- If the applicant is applying to Division of Arts and physical Education,

Education-related majors, the applicant may have other procedure such

as telephone interview, written test or practical test.

Ⅲ. Campus Guide & Important Notes

1. Dormitory

A. For a comfortable and convenient campus life, Chosun University offers Green village for foreign studnets.

C. Facilities: a single bed (with drawers) with sheets, a desk with a book-shelf, a chair, a closet(mirror and shoe-rack attached), LAN cable, a telephone, vertical curtain, and air conditioner, cooking facility D. Students shall prepare a blanket, a pillow, a bed pad, a cloth hanger,

soaps and a toothbrush, etc.

E. Convenient Facilities: Internet room, library, gym, laundry room, common room, shower room, school store etc.

F. Notice: All students who stay in the dormitory must get medical check-up before entering.

- For international students to easily adapt to their new life at Chosun University and in Korea, we support them through a tutoring program, which matches international students with Korean students from the undergraduate school.

3. Korean Cultural Travel

- CU offers special cultural trips per year to international students to help adapt to and understand Korean culture. International students at Chosun University often participate in these trips as they offer a great chance to view the beautiful scenery of Korea to build relationships with their classmates.

4. Note

A. Dual recommendation by more than one organization is not acceptable.

B. Submitted documents will not be returned to the candidates.

C. Incomplete or incorrect documents are subject to rejection by NIIED.

D. In case of submitting copied documents inevitably, applicants must submit compare the copy to the original of recommendation institute.

E. Applicants must accurately fill out the health checklist based on truth.

If the results show that the applicant is unfit to be a KGSP student, can be cancelled of KGSP selection.

1. First Year admission

① Master's Degree Program

People who want to be admitted to the master's degree program must fulfill the conditions stated in section "Ⅰ" and hold or expect to hold before the end of Feb. 2018, one of the following degrees;

▶ Foreign Nationals whose parents are both citizens of countries other than Korea: A Bachelor's Degree completed or expected to be completed(before the end of Feb. 2018) in and outside of Korea or have equivalent qualification.

▶ Foreign Nationals who have receive primary, secondary and university education outside of Korea.

: A Bachelor's Degree completed or expected to be completed outside of Korea.

② Doctoral Degree Program

People who want to be admitted to the doctoral degree program must fulfill the conditions stated in section "Ⅰ" and hold or expect to hold before the end of Feb. 2018, one of the following degrees:

▶ Foreign Nationals whose parents are both citizens of countries other than Korea

▶ Foreign Nationals who have received primary, secondary and university education outside of Korea.
