(drryu@yonsei.ac.kr*)The self-assembled block copolymers (BCP) have recently attracted significant interest as fascinating candidates in applications of nanoscopic patterns in thin film. In film geometry, interfacial interactions at the substrate/polymer and polymer/air play a key role in understanding the phase behaviors of BCP since they affect the relative stability of each morphologies as well as the microdomain orientations by the preferential interaction.
In this study, we report the phase transition behavior for symmetric and asymmetric block copolymers (PS-b-PI) in film geometry was investigated by in-situ grazing incidence small angle x-ray scattering (GISAXS). Moreover, the thickness dependence of the phase transition transition also was studied.
