HH the Amir of Kuwait Received Al-Ghanim and Al-Mubarak and Congratulated Tonga King

HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad received yesterday morning at Seif Palace Speaker of the National Assembly, Marzouq Al-Ghanim.

HH also received the Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber AL-Mubarak. Meanwhile, HH the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad sent a cable of congratulations to HH King of friendly Tonga Kingdom on the occasion of the National Day of his country. – Al-Anbaa

HH the Crown Prince Left Kuwait to Spend Vacation

HH the Crown Prince, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad left Kuwait yesterday morning to spend a vacation.

Establishing Cybersecurity Lab in KU University, the First of its Kind in Kuwait

President of Kuwait University, Dr. Hassan Al-Ansari confirmed the importance of the training course in cybersecurity in Kuwait University in cooperation with Raython Corporation as the USA is well-known for its long track of record of experience in this field.

He clarified that this cooperation came in order to train students at the faculty of engineering, computer department, and also to establish a lab dedicated to cybersecurity in the university, which shall be the first of its kind in Kuwait.

He remarked that university students, who shall attend those courses shall, after completion of the courses, compete with international teams in this field in competitions that shall be held later with more than 240 universities – Al-Anbaa

Jaber Causeway Maximizes Kuwait’s Opportunities as a Key Hub on the Silk Road: Al- Ghanim

CEO of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ali Al-Ghanim considers the project of Sheikh Jaber Causeway as a necessary link between Kuwait City and the Northern region, and that it maximizes Kuwait’s opportunities to be a key hub on the Silk Road.

Al-Ghanim sent a letter for gratitude to the GM of Roads Authority, Ahmad Al-Hassan for the good reception of those working at Sheikh Jaber Causeway Project during the visit that he made with a number of board of directors.

Al-Ghanim lauded in his letter the effort exerted by those working in the Roads Authority to complete Sheikh Jaber Causeway and he thanked the Project Manager, Mai Al-Mesaad as well as the project’s team who accompanied members of KCCI during the visit- Al-Rai

Environmental Fuel is not stumbling and Percentage of Achievement is 97%

CEO of KNPC, engineer, Mohamed Al-Mutairi indicated that percentage of achievement at environmental fuel project reached nearly 96.9% by the end of October 2018, and he confirmed that the project is not stumbling.

“The volume of expenditures on the project till now is 3,88 billion KWD to support local economy, and this percentage shall reach 1.18 billion KWD by the end of the project”, said Al-Mutairi in a statement during the press conference that was held yesterday.

Al-Mutairi emphasized that KNPC deals with the project delay as per the contracts concluded with contractors. – Al-Anbaa

ITL Signed MOU with SAIGON to Enhance Tourism to Vietnam

ITL international company in Kuwait for tourism declared in a press statement signing of MOU with SAIGON Company for Tourism Services to facilitate travel and tourism from Kuwait to South Asia. The MOU was signed by the manager of ITL Company in Kuwait, Najda Abdullah and Najwin Hoo Wi Yen as a representative for SAIJON Company for Tourism Services – Al- Anbaa

Al-Jarallah Discussed with the US Ambassador Mutual Relations and Regional and International Conditions

Deputy Foreign Minister, Khaled Al-Jarallah met yesterday with Ambassador of the US to Kuwait, Lawrence Silverman, and during the meeting they discussed mutual relations between the two countries and development of conditions regionally and internationally.

The meeting was attended by assistant foreign minister for Prime Minister’s Affairs, Sheikh Dr.

Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohamed – Al-Anbaa

Al-Hajeri Discussed with Prime Minister of Romania Means of Enhancing Relations Ambassador of Romania to Kuwait, Talal Al-Hajeri and Romanian Prime Minister Fiorica Dantilla discussed means of enhancing mutual relations between the two countries in the political, economic, investment and cultural fields.

“Talks were held at the headquarters of Romanian Prime Minister”, said Al-Hajeri in a statement to KUNA yesterday.

Al-Hajeri added that Romanian Prime Minister expressed her great comfort from her last visit to Kuwait and the positive results of this visit. She lauded the great dynamism of the mutual relations between the two countries.

She remarked to signing two memos of understanding during the visit, one of them is related to cooperation in the tourism field and the other is related to holding mutual consultations between MOFAs in the two countries and exchange of official visits between them.

Romanian Prime Minister extolled the relations between Romania and Kuwait and described them as “excellent relations”, and she confirmed the desire of both parties to develop and enhance those relations – Al-Anbaa

Cybersecurity Shall be one of the Advanced Fields in Relations with Kuwait: Silverman US Ambassador to Kuwait, Lawrence Silverman emphasized that Cybersecurity is considered as one of the most important fields of cooperation between Kuwait and USA, remarking that this field shall be one of the advanced and developed fields in the mutual relations between the two countries.

His statements came during his participation in inaugurating workshops related to development of capabilities of Kuwait University students in the field of cybersecurity, organized by Raython International Company in cooperation with the University.

“ This workshop comes in a very suitable time during the event of “ Discover America” organized by the US Embassy, as it sheds light on various aspects of cooperation between the two countries including education and training as well as the efforts of the US company and its activities in Kuwait”, said Silverman.

He further pointed out that “a contract was concluded with CITRA during the visit of HH the Amir of Kuwait to Washington last September to benefit from the best experiences in this field and to develop cybersecurity between the two countries in order to secure opportunities and mutual relations”.

He also indicated that during the successful last visit of HH the Amir of Kuwait to Washington, he met with 15 US companies, and his message was clear at that time that Kuwait is about to launch several development projects and need support of international corporations to complete those projects successfully- Al-Anbaa

Kuwait Participates in “Arab Shield 1” Drills

Drills of (Arab Shield 1) were launched yesterday with the participation of forces from 6 Arab countries at (Mohamed Najeb) Military base including land, air and marine mutual drills.

Military Spokesperson, Colonel Tamer Al-Refaie said in a statement that in the last days the forces and equipment of the participating forces (including Kuwait, KSA, UAE, Bahrain, and Jordan) have reached via air and marine ports.

“Arab Sheild 1 is considered as one of the most important drills that lead to enhancing military cooperation between Egyptian military forces and military forces of the participating Arab countries, and developing mutual Arab work in view of the current challenges in the region”, said the spokesperson, adding that the drills aim to develop mutual work between the participating forces in addition to planning and running of fighting of forces- Al-Anbaa

“Fast Sword 3” Proved Capability of British Forces to Spread in GCC : Davenport

The practical closing statement with live ammunition for Fast Sword 3 drills was held the previous day with the attendance of the British Defense Minister, Gafeen Williamson and Kuwaiti Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General, Mohamed Al-Kheder at Mahout State in Oman. This is the biggest drill experienced by the UK in GCC states since 17 years.

A statement issued by the British Embassy in Kuwait yesterday indicated that the drills conducted in Oman included 5500 individuals from the British forces and more than 70.000 thousand individuals from Omani militants and civilians.

While the statement pointed out commitment of the UK to security and economic stability of GCC states, it proved the ability of UK to spread its forces and to operate it in the rough weather of the GCC desert – Al-Rai
