Kuwaiti Education Minister Assures Students of Unbridled Support
Kuwait remains committed to its goal of providing quality education and honing the skills of its students, its education minister Dr. Hamid Al-Azmi said on Sunday.
The minister’s remarks come against the backdrop of a major achievement, where a Kuwaiti private school outperformed 52,000 others in an Arab reading challenge held in Dubai.
He congratulated the students of ‘ Al-Ikhlas” school for their impressive performance, saying they have made the nation proud. The Kuwaiti school clinched an excellence award in the largest-ever Arab literacy initiative launched by the UAE. KUNA
The Government Prepares to Inaugurate Jaber Hospital
Informed sources told Al-Anbaa that the government shall implement its agreement with the majority of the Parliament by presenting draft laws that could achieve the people’s aspirations including early pension.
Sources indicated that the Cabinet shall decide priorities of draft laws that are seen as important by the government in order to prepare for coordination with Parliament priorities committee.
Sources clarified that the government shall determine certain draft laws and assign the Ministerial Committee presided by Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Anas Al- Saleh including the two ministers, Hind Al-Sabeeh and Adel Al-Kharafi in coordination with Parliament priorities committee to agree legislations that shall be mutual priority for both authorities at the agenda of the Parliament – Al-Anbaa
Civil Service Commission: Replacement Succeeded in the First Year
An official source at the CSC confirmed that CSC succeeded in implementing the replacement policy in government entities as per the five-year plan of replacement 2017- 2022.
The source indicated during its speech to Al-Anbaa that the CSC set the plan in order to implement the decision of the CBC, which requests the replacement policy as per proportional tables for the various positions.
He clarified that the CSC set the plan and then assessed it after the passage of one year from its application, provided that engineering positions replacement reach 97% by 2022, teaching 70%, information 100%, science 95%, Animal and agriculture 75%, marine 100%, arts, information and PR 100%, financial and commercial 95%, law, politics and Islamic 88%, development, statistics and administration 100%, criminal, protection and saving 98%, administrative support 100%, crafts 80% and services 85% - Al-Anbaa

Page 2 of 4 Economy 96.9 pct of Kuwait’s Biofuel Project Completed -KNPC
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) said Sunday 96.9% of its Biofuel project was completed by the end of October.
The $ 15.2 billion project, one of the world’s largest, consists of two parts: upgrading existing units in Ahmadi, Shuaiba and Abdullah Port Refineries as well as building new ones, Mohmmad Al-Mutairi, KNPC’s CEO, told a news conference.
Al-Muairi said work was underway to building 22 new units in Abdullah Port, the most important of which was the crude oil distillation, with a production capacity of 264,000 barrels per day.
There are 17 units being prepared in Ahmadi Refinery, most importantly the coal production unit with a capacity of 37,000 barrels per day, Al-Mutairi explained.
He said 3,886 billion Kuwaiti Dinars (KD) (around USD 12.8 billion) were so far spent on the project, including KWD 890 million ( USD three billion) to build a central operation unit, the largest in the Middle East – KUNA

Ministry of Commerce has a Plan to Optimize Kuwait in All International Indicators: Al- Rawdhan
Minister of Commerce and Industry, Khaled Al-Roudhan lauded yesterday the Permanent Committee to improve business environment, headed by Sheikh Mishaal Al-Jaber, its members and the bodies, which contributed to optimizing the ranking of Kuwait in international indicators, especially startups indicator, which leaped 16 points.
Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a press statement that it is continuing to develop its services in order to achieve the set strategic plan and to optimize Kuwait in international indicators.
It further indicated that doing business report issued by the World Bank indicated that Kuwait has entered main improvements that led to leaping 16 points in startups indicator as it is now in the 133 ranking after it was 149 last year – Al-Anbaa

Kuwait Amir Representative: World Youth Forum Key for Cultural Diversity
Representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad to the World Youth Forum said Saturday the forum was an excellent venue to exchange cultures and civilizations among world’s youths.
Mohmmad Al-Jabri, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth, said the forum, which was inaugurated earlier by Egyptian President, Abdulfatah Al-Sisi, would unite youth over religious tolerance and rejection of extremism.

Kuwait Calls to Assist the Libyan Government to Enforce Justice and Law
Kuwait called the world community to resume provision of support to the Lybian government in its pursuits to form a comprehensive strategy to combat crime and severe violations of the international and humanitarian law, and to enable it to enforce justice and law sovereignty, which shall positively contribute in the enforcement of the relevant security council decisions.
This came in Kuwait’s speech on the Security Council on Libya, which was given by the permanent representative of Kuwait to the UN, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi – Al-Anbaa
