House of Representative officials, led by House Speaker Lord Velasco, have filed House Resolution 1348 which directs the respective committee to investigate the reason for the heavy flooding that submerged Isabela and Cagayan Province during the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.

The Fitch Solutions expects that the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will bring out positive impact for participating nations, as it will reduce tariffs and increase market access. The RCEP will also simplify rules and procedures for the free trade agreements (FTA) in the region.

Morgan Stanley Research forecasts the Philippine’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth to 13.5% in 2021. Morgan Stanley added that the country is set to have an economic rebound in the first quarter of 2021, as the COVID-19 situation improves and vaccine availability nears.
