Background: Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Bangkok, is looking for Thai Staff to support the Embassy.

Working for: Economic Section, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Type of Position: Full Time Salary: To be discussed Job Description:

l Research, analyse, and report on economic and development policy issues of interest to the Korean Government.

l Monitor and identify economic and development issues, provide verbal briefing, written summary, or report.

l Attend meetings, conferences, and events with Thai governments, business sector, etc.

l Act as a focal point, manage contacts, and coordinate with relevant Thai government agencies and key stakeholders to support the Economic Section.

l Manage and prepare correspondences, including drafting official letters, note verbales, emails, etc.

l Provide translation services between Thai and English as required.

l Support the Embassy in preparation for official meetings and visits.

l In term of emergency, support the other works of the Embassy as needed.

Qualifications:

l Master’s degree in a relevant field namely Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Political Economy, etc. (other degree with relevant experience are eligible for the application)

l Basic knowledge of Thai economics, politics, and government affairs l Ability to make analysis, summary, present information and write report l Ability to develop knowledge of unfamiliar topics

l Ability to work independently and in teams

l Ability to prioritize workloads and make adjustments to accommodate urgent tasks

l Excellent English (written and spoken) and Fluency in Thai l Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

l Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)

Desirable Qualifications:

l Experience in working with Thai ministries, or national/international organizations.

l Network of contacts in Thai government and experience in building and managing diverse stakeholders relationships.

l Good Korean language skills are preferred.
