Department of Plant Science, Gangneung-Wonju National University, Gangneung 210-702, Korea 본 실험은 딸기 조직배양묘 생산 시 BA와 IBA의 혼합처리가 체세포영 양계 변이 발생에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 조직배 양은 사계성 딸기 ‘고하’의, 런너팁으로부터 생장점을 적출하여 BA와 IBA를 농도별로 혼합처리한 배지에서 배양하였다. 호르몬 처리한 조직 배양묘를 순화 후 본포(고설식 수경재배)에 정식하여 초세, 화방 출뢰 성 및 과일모양 등의 형태적 검정, SSR 방법을 이용한 유전적 변이 검 정을 실시하였다. 2012년(1년차)에 호르몬 처리 후 선발된 형태적 변이 의심개체를 2013년(2년차)와 2014년(3년차)에 정식하여 변이 검정을 실시하였다. BA와 IBA의 혼합처리에 따른 증식률은 0.5mg·L-1 이상 농도의 BA에서 농도에 관계없이 주당 22-23.5배로 높게 나타났다. 1년 차에 형태적 변이의심개체는 초세가 강한 27개체, 초세가 약한 6개체, 비정상과 출현한 4개체로 총 37개체를 선발하였다. 호르몬 처리별 형 태적 변이의심률은 재배 1년차에 15.6-37.5%로 나타났으나 재배 2년 차에 5.1-25%, 재배 3년차에 6.3-8.2%로 재배연차가 늘어날수록 점차 낮아졌으며, 특히 0.5mg·L-1 이하 농도의 BA처리에서 재배 3년차에 형 태적 변이의심률이 0%로 나타났다. 유전적 변이율도 재배연수가 늘어 날수록 낮아지는 경향을 보였으며, 특히 IBA의 농도에 관계없이 0.5mg·L-1이하 농도의 BA를 처리했을 때 재배 3년차에 유전적 변이가 전혀 나타나지 않았으나, 1.0mg·L-1의 농도로 BA를 처리했을 때 3년차 에 2.0%가 유전적 변이를 보였고, 2.0mg․L-1의 농도로 BA를 처리했을 때 3년차에 6.3%가 유전적 변이를 보였다. 따라서 딸기 조직배양묘 생 산 시 0.5mg·L-1이하의 BA를 처리하면 형태적, 유전적 변이 없이 대량 증식이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. The objective of this study was to confirm antifungal activity of methanol, acetone, dichloromethane, and hexane extracts from various parts of strawberry and tomato plants including inedible plant parts. Regardless of the extract solvents, the strawberry plant extracts reduced the mycelial growth of Phytophthora cactorum, Phytophthora capsici,

and Glomerella cingulate and the tomato plant extracts reduced the mycelial growth of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici, Colletotrichum coccodes, and Rhizoctonia solani. Mycelial growth of G. cingulate was significantly inhibited by the strawberry and tomato extracts. The methanol extract of strawberry leaves which includes sitosterol showed greatest inhibition of mycelial growth of all the tested fungi. Results indicate that extracts of strawberry and tomato plants shows antifungal activity and the extracts from inedible parts can be considered as potential sources of natural antifungal agents.

Seven different training and pruning systems were compared at a new fertile soil site located in Donghwa-Ri Hwaseong-si Gyeonggi-do Korea belongging to Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries using Fuji Fidex/M.9 trees planted in spring of 2009. Panting spaces for systems of Solaxe, Slender spindle, Narita, Kimchangho, and Guroda were 2 m between the trees and 4 m beween the rows initially but the Guroda’s between the trees' space enlarged to 8 m by removing 3 trees initially planted to fit the enlarged tree canpies of the Guroda system. The other two systems of Parkyoungbok and Shinjonghyeop were planted 1 m between the trees and 3.5 m between the rows. Each systems were evaluated by counting the number of apples on the trees and converting the fruit numbers into fruit numbers per ha, sizes of apples at harvesting time by measering fruit diameters of 10 apples from the lowest part above ground to the upper part of the tree canopy for each of the trees, and final evaluation was made by counting the total flower bud numbers on each of the trees of the 5 systems in mid- December in 6th leaf of the trees used for the trial. Solaxe system demonstrated at the harvestng time of the 6th leaf 132 fruits per tree which was 27% more than the slender spindle, 45% more than the Narita and 56% more fruits than the Kimcjangho system, respectively. Solaxe system showed the biggest fruit diameter compared with the other 6 systems. Solaxe trees developed largest numbers of over 4.5 mm flower buds enabling the expectation of the best performance in fruiting in the coming year of 7th leaf in 2015.
