The First Annual National Graduate Student
Symposium on TESOL Research and Practices
Dankook University Graduate School of TESOL, with the support of Cambridge University Press, will be hosting a free symposium on TESOL research and practices on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 1:00 – 6:00 pm. This conference is being held to promote research into the field of TESOL by student researchers as well as offer a place for graduate students and TESOL professionals to discuss issues and practices happening in the field of TESOL particularly in the Korean context.
During the conference, there will be student presentations about issues and practices related to TESOL, a keynote presentation and door prizes.
The tentative schedule for the conference is as follows:
1:00 – 1:30 Registration
1:30 – 1:40 Greetings from the Dean of Dankook TESOL Graduate School and DKU Student Union President 1:40 – 2:10 Keynote Presentation, Christian Kim “Extensive Reading: Evening the Input-Deficient EFL Playing Field”
2:10 – 2:30 Coffee Break
2:30 – 4:40 Concurrent presentations on TESOL Research and Practices (in 20 minute sessions) 4:50 – 5:10 Closing comments and door prizes
5:10 – 6:00 Casual reception (light snacks provided)
The symposium will be held in the International Building at Dankook University, Hall #102, Yongin campus. There is no cost, so come and join!
