지않은것(0%)에비해남자는 9명중 3명에서발생하여(33%) 다른 보고들과달리남자에서만발생이되었는데한국혹은동양인에서 의특징인지에대해주목해야할것같으며이에대한추가검사가 필요할것으로보입니다. 좋은연구감사드립니다.

2003년 Nikiforova 등[1]이여포암에서 RAS 변이와 PAX8/PPAR
γ
재배열을발표한이후여러그룹에서이에대한연구를발표하였는 데최근김등이처음으로한국인에서의이두가지유전자이상에 대한여포종양에서의발생률및임상양상을발표하여늦은감이있 으나다행스럽게생각하는바입니다. 갑상선암에서아직풀어야할 과제로서가장중요한것 2가지는아마여포암의수술전진단을위 한종양표지자를찾는일과과연양성갑상선종양의악성종양으로 진행가능성에대한문제라고생각합니다. RAS 변이는여포선종과 여포암에서공히높은돌연변이를보여암발생의초기변화로생각하는바이나 PAX8/PPAR
γ
재배열의발생은미세침습여포암(mini-mal invasive follicular thyroid carcinoma)에서도발견되고여포선 종에서도약간씩발생하는것으로보아이것이여포선종에서여포 암으로진행을예측할수있는인자가아닌가에대해관심이집중되
고있습니다. 또한여러다양한암종에서 PPAR
γ의
발현이감소되어있음이보고되고있고갑상선암에서도 PPAR
γ의
발현이감소되어있음이보고되고있으며[2,3] PAX8/PPAR
γ의
경우도이융합단백질(fusion protein)이 wild-type PPAR
