Notice for Working Holiday Visa Holders
○ If you want to stay in the Republic of Korea over 90 days, you must submit an application for alien registration to the immigration (branch) office with jurisdiction over your place of residence within 90 days from the entry into the country.
○ If you have changed your place of residence, you must report the new address to either the immigration (branch) office or Si/Gun/Gu office with jurisdiction over the new place of residence within 14 days after moving in.
○ The following acts are not allowed as they conflict with the spirit of the Agreements (MOUs) on working holiday programs or domestic laws:
- Stay for the sole purpose of employment without engaging in tourism activities upon entry
- The Maximum Employment Period is 12 months, with up to 25 hours per week
- Work as a service employee, dancer, singer, musical instrument player, acrobat, etc. at an adult entertainment establishment
- Work in a professional field that requires specific qualifications (doctor, lawyer, professor, pilot, language instructor, etc.)
Note: If you want to engage in Foreign National of Special Ability (E-7) or other professional activities, you must change your status.
- Work in a business of speculative acts or in a business detrimental to good morals, etc.
- Take up other activities contrary to the purposes of working holiday programs (news coverage, politics, etc.)
