1. 대화를 듣고 두 사람이 구입할 손전등을 고르시오, .

M: Hey, honey. What are you doing?

W: I’m looking at this electronics catalog. Remember you said we needed a flashlight?

M: Oh, yeah. That’s right. Have you decided which one we’re going to get?

W: Not yet. I need your opinion. Do you think we need one with a strap?

M: Yes. A strap would be nice. Which one are you looking at?

W: This one right here.

M: That one has four light bulbs. It doesn’t have to be that bright. What about that one with three light bulbs?

W: Okay. That style comes in two models. One comes with two batteries and the other comes with one battery.

M: Then, let’s get the model that uses only one battery.

W: That’s a good choice, dear. We’ll get that one.

M: It was too expensive and the service was terrible.

W: I know it’s a little expensive but what was wrong with the service?

M: The mechanics there were unfriendly and it took longer than they promised.

W: That’s strange. I’ve been going there for the past three years and I’ve never had a problem with them.

M: Are you saying I’m overreacting? I’m so mad.

W: That’s the last time I recommend anything to you.

M: Are you kidding? You owe me an apology!

3. 다음을 듣고 무엇에 관한 설명인지 고르시오, .

M: This is a field of scientific study of living things such as plants, animals, bacteria, and viruses. Scientists in this field ask questions like, “Why do living things interact with each other in particular ways?” and “How did they evolve?” Even today some of these questions remain unanswered. But continued study will lead toward a better understanding. Because this is such a wide field, it is divided into many branches. Some of these branches study the structure and form of living things, some study how the different parts of the body work together, and others study how organisms interact with other organisms.

M: Yes, I made thirty copies as you requested.

W: Then the preparations for the meeting are almost finished.

M: Is there anything else you need me to do?

W: Actually, I’m having trouble with the projector. Can you take a look at it?

M: I’m not really good with machines.

W: Then do you mind calling someone at the front desk?

M: Not at all. I’ll do that as soon as I finish putting the handouts in the folders.

W: Oh, well. Today’s the only day we can see the show.

M: Right now, we only have two seats left in Section A and two seats in Section B.

W: How much is it for each section?

M: Section A is 40 dollars and Section B is originally 25 dollars. But right now the remaining seats in Section B are 5 dollars off the original price.

W: Really? Why is that?

M: That’s because the view from those seats in Section B is partially blocked by a column.

W: In that case, I’ll take two seats in Section A and one seat in Section B.

M: And if we don’t raise enough money, we’re going to have a hard time running the club next year.

W: Have you spoken with the other members of the club?

M: Yeah. They suggested that we have a bake sale to raise money.

W: That’s a good idea. When is the date of the sale?

M: I’m so relieved to hear that.

W: For a person with not much experience, you’re one of the best I’ve ever seen in my twenty years in this studio.

M: Thanks for saying that. You’re very professional.

W: Thanks. Do you want to listen to the last part of the recording?

M: Oh, so that’s why they built this place.

W: Do you see the flashing light coming out of here?

M: Yeah, it’s really powerful and bright.

W: It has to be in order to guide ships away from danger.

M: What’s the best part about working here?

W: Is there any particular reason?

M: I’m not too fond of the color yellow.

W: Let me see. How much are you willing to spend?

M: I don’t want to spend more than 10 dollars.

W: Well, how about item 315?

M: No, it’s too big. My fish tank is too small for it. I need something smaller.

W: Then, there is only one fish that you can get.
