Minimum Angle of Resolution (MAR) Visual acuity = 1/MAR (minutes)
두 점이 떨어져 있다고 인식하는 최소 공간해상도 MAR 이 1분이면 시력을 1.0 으로 표시
Minimal Angle of Resolution
1.5mm 1 minute (1/60 degree) 5 m
측정방법
• 한눈을 가리고 반대편 눈의 시력을 측정(잘 가려졌는지 확인)
• Latent nystagmus: +6.00디옵터 렌즈
• Congenital nystagmus: null point에서 측정
• 0.1 도 못 읽을 경우 앞으로 천천히 걸어오게 하여 시표가 보이
기 시작한 거리에 반비례하여 시력을 표시(5미터 시력표의
0.1 시표를 1미터에서 볼 경우 0.1 X (1/5) = 0.02)
• FC (finger count)

Confrontation Testing
• Advantages
• simplicity, flexibility, speed of administration, and ability to be performed in any setting, including at the bedside
• Disadvantages
• lack of standardization, the qualitative nature of the results, and the limited ability to detect subtle deficits and monitor progression or remission of visual loss
• Because it is quick and easy to perform, confrontation visual field should be performed on all patients, regardless of their visual complaints.
