Job Title: General Gardening Service

Job Description: General Gardening of all Embassy’s premises

* Please find the attached file 3, Task instructions for more job details.

Period : Jan 2022 – Dec 2022 (appx. 12months)

* When gardening services are no longer required due to certain circumstances, the contract may be terminated earlier than indicated with 1 month prior notification or workload may be reduced.

Bid Type: Public competitive bidding

Bidder Evaluation Method: Qualification examination by the Embassy

Bidders are examined by their bidding prices and the selection criteria attached below, and need to earn at least 85 points or above from the selection criteria

Bidders in the order of the lowest bidding prices below the ‘reserved price’ will be examined their qualification based on the selection criteria

* Reserved Price: Average price of 4 estimated random prices that have been selected the most by bidders (bidders choose 2 out of 15 estimated random prices)

* Estimated Random Price: 15 random prices (within ±2% of the Set Price) set by the Embassy

* Set Price: maximum budget price (GST included) set by the Embassy

Advertising Period: Wed, 5 Jan 2022 – Sun , 9 Jan 2022

Set Price: AUD 5,300/month (GST included, 15 working hours per week)

Attachment 3 – Task Instructions

Task Instructions

1. Gardening service for Korean Embassy: Embassy Garden (Yarralumla) and Residence Garden (Red Hill)

2. Working Time: Approximately minimum 15 hours per week: for example Embassy 10 hours per week and Residence 5 hours per week

3. Job Description:

a. Mowing and edging, including bi–annual fertilizer treatment of lawns b. Weed control

c. Maintaining Embassy Rose Garden and Residence Garden, including pest control and annual fertilizing

d. Blowing and sweeping all paved driveways: additional 2 day-blowing service for Embassy and Residence excluding gardening service day

e. Minor irrigation maintenance, including controlling watering time and day per season and checking watering tapes working condition

f. Tree pruning up to 4 meters

g. Checking trees for safety concerns such as limbs prone to falling or near power lines,

notifying as appropriate

h. Pruning of hedges, shrubs and groundcover in garden beds

i. Monitoring plant and lawn health and spray herbicides and pesticides as required j. Garden waste disposal

Flexible to cater for irregular requirements such as storm damage or extra tidying for functions at the property
