나는 기분 전환을 위해 옷을 자주 사는 편이다. 아예 날을 잡고 아웃렛몰에 가는 경우가 많다. 다양한 브랜 드의 제품들을 한 공간에서 볼 수 있고 가격도 일반 매 장들이 비해서 아주 싼 편이어서, 즐겨 간다. 보통 철 이 바뀔 때 새로운 날씨에 맞는 옷을 사러 가는 편이 다. 오래 입을 수 있는 코트 같은 제품들은 가격이 조 금 비싸고 좋은 브랜드의 제품을 사는 편이다.
신발을 살 때도 비용을 아끼지 않는다. 집 근처에 있는 백화점에 가는 경우도 있다. 피부 관리 제품이나 악세 서리류 등은 그곳에서 많이 사는 편이다. 마지막으로 온라인 쇼핑몰과 홈쇼핑을 통해서도 옷을 구매할 때가 있다. 특히 속옷의 경우, 홈쇼핑에서 특가 할인이 있을 때 여러 개를 넉넉하게 사 둔다. 운동할 때 입는 옷이 나 운동화 등은 인터넷상에서 구입한다.

기분 전환을 위한 쇼핑누구나 스트레스를 풀거나 기분 전환을 하기 위해 쇼 핑을 하는 사람을 알고 있을 것이다. 이러한 행동을 retail therapy라 하며, 이때 구입하는 물건을 comfort buy라고 한다. 이런 행동이 중독 수준에 이 른 사람은 shopaholic이라고 부르며, 그로 인해 느 끼는 후회감은 buyer's remorse라고 한다.
