[ Highlights of PM John Key’s visit to Korea ]

Prime Minister John Key visited Korea during 25~29 July accompanied by Veteran’s Affairs Minister Michael Woodhouse, Melissa Lee MP and 29 Korean War Veterans to attend an official ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the Korean Armistice Agreement ending hostilities of the Korean War (1950-1953).

He held a summit meeting with President Park Geun-hye at the ‘Blue House’ and addressed the Com- memoration Ceremony held at the Korean National War Memorial. He also journeyed to Busan to attend a Commemoration Ceremony for Kiwi fallen soldiers interred at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery.

Included in this news letter are some highlight photos of his visit to Korea.

[At the Dinner hosted by PM Chung] After talks between PM Chung Hong-won and PM John Key(left), PM Chung presented the plaques of appreciation to the Korean War Veterans(right). The NZ recipient was Clarrie Maskill, KVA South Island vice-president.
