2021 K-POP World Festival Uganda Participation Guidelines
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uganda is organizing the 2021 K- POP World Festival in Uganda. The festival will include an online K-POP singing or dancing contest open to both individuals and groups. K-POP stands for Korean Popular Music and includes all genres of music that are sung in Korean
Application Period
The application period is from 1st May, 2021 to 28th May, 2021 Winners will be announced before the end of June 2021
Eligibility
The contest is open to all Ugandans
Participation is individual or in a group
How to Apply
1. Record a video of yourself of about 3 minutes singing or dancing a KPOP song of your choice and upload it on your social media account (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube) with #2021KPOPUG
#KPOPCONTEST and also tag the respective Embassy’s social media
2. Fill in the online application form at https://bit.ly/39MEPwa and paste the link to your uploaded video in the field “Link to your video” in the form
If you do not have a social media account, you can submit your video by emailing it to [email protected] after filling in the application form
Prizes
The Prizes for the contest are as below:
1st Prize 1,000,000UGX (For 1 Person or 1 Team)
2nd Prize 500,000UGX (For 5 People or 5 Teams)
Popularity prize 500,000UGX (For 2 People or 2 Teams)
The first 100 applicants will receive free data after the results of the contest are announced. This will be for only MTN and Airtel networks Winners will be posted on the Embassy’s social media platforms and will also be contacted individually
Key points
Fill in and submit the application form before the deadline
Upload the video to your social media and add #2021KPOPUG
#KPOPCONTEST and make sure to tag the respective Embassy’s social media platform
The Video URL link must be included in the application form for those submitting through social media
The video uploaded should be clear and your face(s) should be visible in the video
Your video may be uploaded on the Embassy’s social media platforms
Links not related to the K-POP contest will not be considered
