2022 Korea Festival Participation Guidelines
1. Introduction
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uganda is organizing the 2022 Korea Festival Uganda. The festival will include;
- K-POP Competition - Korean Speaking Contest - Quiz on Korea
*All these events shall be online
2. Application Period
The application period for all the events is from 11th July 2022 to 31st August 2022 and winners shall be announced in September 2022.
3. Eligibility
a. All events are open to anyone living in Uganda b. Participation for all the events is only individually
4. K-POP Competition
The Online K-POP competition is an online singing or dancing contest open to only individuals. An individual must submit a recording of him/herself either singing or dancing to any K-POP song of their choice. K-POP stands for Korean Popular Music and includes all genres of music that are sung in Korean.
4.1 How to Apply
1. Record a video of yourself of about 3 minutes singing or dancing to a KPOP song of your choice and upload it on your social media account (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube) with #2022KPOPUG #KPOPCONTEST

your uploaded video in the field “Link to your video” in the form. If you do not have a social media account, you can submit your video by emailing it to korembassyug@gmail.comafter filling in the application form
*Only KPOP songs will be considered.
5. Korean Speaking Contest
The Korean Speaking Contest is an online contest where a participant must submit a 3-minute video recording of themself speaking about any of the two topics below.
a. How to introduce Ugandan Culture in Korea OR
b. How to introduce Korean Culture in Uganda 5.1 How to Apply
1. Record a video of yourself of about 3 minutes talking about the topic of your choice and upload it on your social media account (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube) with the #2022KOREAN #2022KOREAFESTIVALUG and tag the respective Embassy’s social media or you can email the video to korembassyug@gmail.com

6. Quiz on Korea
The Quiz on Korea shall take place online on 7th September 2022. The quiz shall be on general information on Korea, Korean Culture, and more. Apply through https://bit.ly/3Ao4sBvand more details on the quiz will be shared after the close of the application period. The quiz shall be in English.
7. Prizes
• Phones and Laptops to be won.
• The first 100 applicants for the whole festival get free data for only MTN and Airtel data.
Winners will be posted on the Embassy’s social media platforms and will also be contacted individually
