‣ 언어에 대한 이해는 인간의 머릿속 언어 능력에 대한 이해이며, 이 때문에 언어학 은 심리학과 생물학의 범주에 들어간다.

‣ 인간은 머릿속 문법에 의해 언어를 구사 한다. 머릿속 문법은 명료하게 정의된 계 산 시스템이며, 이 시스템은 일반 지능과 별도로 선천적으로 부여된 ‘인간적인, 너 무나 인간적인’ 능력으로 보인다.

①-②와 ③-④의 차이는 Jackendoff의 언 어 모형으로도 설명할 수 없는 것으로 보인다. 그런데, 만일 woman이나 sign이 painted와 결합되는 강도가 witness나 evidence가 examined와 결합되는 강도와 다르기 때문에 위와 같은 차이가 생기는 것이라면, ①-②와 ③-④의 차이는 어휘 간 결합 강도의 차이로 설명하면 된다.

만일 문법 이론이 어휘간 결합 강도에

관한 정보를 포함시킬 수 있다면, ①-② 와 ③-④의 차이를 쉽게 설명할 수 있을 것이며, 이러한 문법 이론은 Chomsky나 Jackendoff가 제안한 고전적 문법 이론보 다 우월한 설명력을 가질 수 있을 것이 다. 이러한 문법 이론을 구축에 포함시킬 수 있는 정보는 어떤 것이 있을지 생각 해 보자.

이번 학기 수업에서 저는 ‘즐거운 지식’

을 전하기 위해 성심을 다했습니다.
