Abstract
Purpose - The purposes of this editorial review are twofold:
firstly, to introduce the four flagship international journals of the Korea Distribution Science Association(KODISA): the Journal of Distribution Science(JDS), the Journal of Industrial Distribution &
Business(JIDB), the East Asian Journal of Business Management(EAJBM), and the Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business(JAFEB), and secondly, to identify the direction of the KODISA journals and the roles and re- sponsibilities of the editors of the KODISA journals.
Research design, data, and methodology - To achieve the goals, firstly, this review paper addresses the current progress of the four KODISA journals: JDS, JIDB, EAJBM, and JAFEB.
Secondly, this paper defines the aims and missions of the four KODISA journals. JDS publishes the articles of examining past, current, and emerging trends and concerns in the area of dis- tribution science and economics, logistics and SCM, trans- portation, distribution channel management, distribution in- novation and information technology, merchandising and procure- ment, distribution and marketing, consumer behavior, and manu- facturing, wholesaling, and retailing. JDS publishes both quanti- tative and qualitative research as well as scholarly commen- taries, case studies, book reviews and other types of reports re- lating to all aspects of distribution. JIDB publishes the articles of examining past, current, and emerging trends and concerns in

the areas of industry and corporate behavior, industry policy making, industrial distribution and business, e-commerce, and service industry. EAJBM publishes empirical and theoretical re- search papers as well as scholarly commentaries, case studies, book reviews, and other types of reports relating to all aspects of East Asian business and economy. JAFEB publishes original research analysis and inquiry into the contemporary issues of fi- nance, economics and business management in Asia, including Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Middle East. The mission of JAFEB is to bring together the latest theo- retical and empirical finance, economics and business manage- ment research in Asian markets. The audiences of the KODISA journals include higher education institutions, scholars, industry researchers and practitioners, scientists, economists, and policy makers throughout the world. The main mission of the KODISA journals is to provide an intellectual platform for international scholars, promote interdisciplinary studies in social sciences and economics, and become leading journals in the social science and economics category in the world. Thirdly, this paper ad- dresses the current status of indexing in major databases of the KODISA journals, namely: Cabell’s Directories, EBSCO, SCOPUS (Elsevier), and Social Sciences Citation Index® (SSCI, Thomson Reuters). Fourthly, this paper identifies the roles and responsibilities of the editors of the KODISA journals as the fol- lowing: (1) Make sure that the journal be published in a timely manner and in international standards both in print and online versions. (2) Maintain the online homepage of the journal is al- ways accessible to, and (3) Make sure that every article should go through a peer review process that meets international standards.
Findings and conclusion - To accomplish the goals and mis- sions of the KODISA journals, the editors of the KODISA jour- nals must work together to publish high scholarly journals that meet international standards of journal publications.

1. 서론
한국의 학술단체는 대학부설이나 연구소 등에서도 학술지를 발 행하기도 하지만 대부분은 사단법인화하여서 학회에서 발행하는 , 경우가 대부분이다 이러한 특징을 갖고 있기 때문에 관행적으로 . 년에 한 번씩 집행진과 편집위원회가 교체된다 이러한 과정들

이 학회뿐 만 아니라 학술지의 발전을 저해하는 요인으로 작용하 고 있다 현재 편집위원이라 하더라도 년 후에는 그만둔다는 생 . 1 각을 갖고 임기만 채우기 위해 대충하는 경향이 강하다 이러한 , . 이유로 학회 및 학술지 발전이 더디거나 오히려 퇴보하는 경우도 발생한다.
따라서 당 학회에서는 한국 학회의 관행적인 병폐를 해소하기 위하여 , 2011 년 이래 과감하게 혁신을 꾀하고 있다 즉 지속적인 . , 성장과 변화를 위하여 , 1-2 년 임기제가 아니라 평생임기제 개념을 도입하여 운영하고 있다 이러한 요인은 당 학회와 학술지가 다른 . 여타 학회나 학술지보다 급속한 변화와 발전을 하게 된 요인으로 작용하고 있다 이러한 현실을 감안하여 . KODISA 편집위원회에서 는 학술지의 현황을 반추하고 이를 더욱 발전시킬 수 있는 전략 , 을 수립하고자 본 연구를 진행한다.
본론으로 들어가서 현재 , KODISA Journals 는 국제저널로 가기 위한 노력을 학회가 전력을 다하여 기울이고 있다 . 2009 년부터 본 격적으로 국제저널로 가기 위한 첫발을 내딛고 , 2011 년에 이르러 서는 현 체제의 기반을 만들었으며 현재에 이르러서는 모든 기반 , 이 완비된 상태라 하더라도 과언이 아니다 그럼에도 불구하고 세 .
계적인 유명저널이 되기 위해서는 미래 방향제시를 위해 현 상황 에서 현재를 파악하고 미래를 대비하는 노력이 필요하다 그래서 . 본 논의는 현재 위치에서 국제저널로 가기 위한 SSCI 및 기본요건을 파악하고 이에 대한 비교를 통하여 미래의 SCOPUS

둘째 참고문헌의 서지정보에 대한 정확성 및 통일성을 높이기 위해 APA(6th edition) Style Guide 를 학회발행 모든 논문에 적용 하였다.
셋째 인터넷 전자출판물 참고문헌의 서지정보에 대한 정확성 및 통일성을 높이기 위해 DOI Information 을 명기토록 학회발행 모든 논문에 적용하였다.
넷째 논문의 영문초록의 질적 수준을 높이기 위해 모든 게재논 문의 논문초록을 전문업체와 연간계약에 의해 영어 원어민 교정 후 원어민 편집장이 최종 리뷰 후 승인토록 하였다.

온라인 홈페이지 상에 논문투고절차 심사규정을 명확히 제시하 , 였고 편집위원회 이메일로 투고 후 접수와 심사 관련 피드백을 , 신속히 실시하고 있다 심사 전문화를 위해 국내와 해외논문의 편 . 집위원회를 별도 개최한 후 분리 심사하고 있으며 국제 유명저널 , 과 동일한 시스템으로 전문가 집단을 추천을 받고 내부전문가 풀 , 을 활용하여 적절한 심사 편집위원의 전문분야로 선정 심사논문 / , 배당하고 있다.

특히 심사형식과 심사보고서의 양을 최소기준을 충족하도록 엄 격히 요구하고 있고 심사자에게 투고자의 신상정보를 비공개하고 , , 학력과 경력 기준으로 양 당사자 간에 연관성이 없도록 사전에 검 토하여 논문을 심사자에게 배분한다.
마지막으로 이메일 투고 대신 온라인 투고 시스템을 2014 년 6 월말 현재 완료 상태에 있다 이는 한국연구재단이 . 2014 년 지원하 는 사업에 포함되어 진행되고 있는 사업으로 이를 통하여 국내 , 투고자 뿐만 아니라 해외투고자의 접근 용이성을 높일 수 있을 것 으로 기대한다 이는 온라인상에서 투고 심사 출판의 전 과정을 . , , 게시하여 확인할 수 있기 때문이다.
연구윤리 강화활동의 구체성 및 엄정성 3.4.
첫째 , KODISA 는 홈페이지에 투고자의 연구윤리규정 전문을 제 공하여 주지시키고 있다 예를 들어 윤리규정의 영문 요약 . (The 내용을 보면 다음과 같 Committee on Publication Ethics : COPE)
다. “The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) is a small group of journal editors worldwide from all academic fields.
Membership is open to editors of academic journals and others interested in publication ethics. COPE provides advice to editors and publishers on all aspects of publication ethics and, in par- ticular, how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct. COPE does not investigate individual cases but en- courages editors to ensure that cases are investigated by the appropriate authorities (usually a research institution or employ- er). All COPE members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct for Journal Editors. COPE will investigate complaints that members have not followed the Code. COPE has also cre- ated an audit tool for members to measure compliance with its Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors”.
둘째 투고단계에서부터 연구자에게 연구윤리규정준수에 대한 서약서 제출을 의무화하고 있다 자기표절과 중복게재 등의 명확 . 한 기준을 제시하여 저작권동의서와 투고신청서에 회에 걸쳐서 2 명기함으로써 게재확정논문의 저작권 위임절차를 명확히 하였다.
즉 게재 후 연구자에게 최종논문에 대한 연구윤리 준수 확인서 작 성을 의무화하고 있다.
참고로 논문 윤리규정과 관련하여 표절체크를 진행함에 있어서 기존에 제공하던 IThenticate(http://www.ithenticate.com/ ) 라는 회사 와 CRossref 간의 제휴를 통해 진행하고 있다 또 기존 . Ithenticate 를 직접 이용하려면 논문 편당 1 $50 에 표절 체크를 할 수 있기 때 문에 특이한 사항이 발생하지 않으면 Crosscheck 를 이용하지 않는 다 그럼에도 불구하고 . CrossCheck (http://www.crossref.org/02pub- 를 통하여 년 월에는 연구 부정행위 lishers/20pub_fees.html) 2013 10
를 적발한 바 있다.
따라서 KODISA 윤리위원회에서 적발하여 투고자의 소명과정 , 을 거친 후 해당논문 중복게재 저널 편집위원장과 투고자 소속기 , 관에 통보하고 학회 홈페이지 논문을 삭제한 후 한국연구재단에 , 보고한 바 있다 참고로 이 내용은 다음과 같이 홈페이지 공지사 . 항 웹사이트에 공지되어 있다 (http://kodisa.org/15349). 학회에서 는 년간 홈페이지에 고지 및 보관을 하고 투고자에게는 향후 5 , 5 년간 투고 및 게재가 금지되는 조치를 취했다.

우리 저널이 국제적인 수준을 맞춘다는 것은 SCI(E) 와 기준에 맞춘다는 의미이다 따라서 이들 등재기관이 요

구하는 사항과 이에 대해 우리 저널이 어느 정도 수준으로 맞추고 있는지 평가해볼 필요가 있다.
4.1. SCI(E) 기준
국제수준의 편집정책 4.1.1.
이를 위해서 편집표준화 참고문헌 등 가 필요한데 국제적 수준 ( ) , 에 맞게 편집양식 참고문헌 표기법 등을 통일하여 운영 중이다 , . 또한 디자인 및 레이아웃에 관해서는 표지 편집위원 본문 등에 , , , 서 국제적 수준을 유지하고 있다 그리고 영문원고 영문교열 등 는 . ( ) 전문업체와 연간계약을 체결하여 원어민에게 모든 논문을 교정토 록 함으로써 다른 저널지보다 한 단계 앞서가고 있다 저명학자 . 논문유치는 우리 저널지가 해외지향형 저널지인 관계로 가장 강점 을 갖고 있다 즉 해외저명학자의 논문이 다수 존재하는데 특히 . 4 개 저널 평균 60% 이상의 투고논문이 해외투고자 논문이다 마지 . 막으로 투고규정 및 연구출판윤리규정을 보면 연구윤리기준준수 , 에 대해 투고시 게재시 회에 걸쳐 서약서를 의무적으로 제출하 , 2 도록 하고 있다.

우리 저널은 사회과학분야에서는 선두주자로 DOI 부여를 자체
학회비용으로 2013 년 초부터 진행하고 있다 . SCI 급 세계적인 유
명저널 중에도 많은 다수가 미 채택하고 있는 학술지 원문 XML
구축도 시행중이며 , Open Access System 도 완비한 상태이다 특 .
히 현재 당 학회 JDS 등 저널지는 한국연구재단의 지원하에 온라
인투고시스템을 2014 년 월말 현재 구축이 완료되었다 6 .

기존 논의한 바대로 KODISA 의 개 저널지는 모두 해외 지향적인 4 학술지로 전문성을 강화한 저널지들이다 즉 . Journal of Distribution Science(JDS), Journal of Industrial Distribution & Business(JIDB), 그리고 East Asian Journal of Business Management(EAJBM)
는 국제 Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business(JAFEB) 적인 수준에 적합하다.
특히 SCI(E) 에서 가중치가 부여되는 학술지 온라인투고시스템 이 2014 년 하반기부터 구축 완료됨에 따라 모든 조건이 완비된 명실상부한 국제 학술지로서 모든 자격을 구비하였다 더욱 다행 . 인 것은 대부분의 기존 SCI 급 저널지가 이 사항을 충족하지 않고 있기 때문에 KODISA 저널지 종이 선두주자로 나설 수 있는 계 4 기가 마련되었다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
결론적으로 본 저널들은 향후 SSCI 나 SCOPUS 등재를 위해 모든 점이 완비된 상태이다 따라서 이에 안주하지 않고 저널지에 . ,
