Dear Professor Sung Keun Ha:
Congratulations to you and the Korean Economic Association on the 60th anniversary of the association's founding. The association's growth reflects the remarkable rise of the Korean economics profession and indeed of the Korean economy itself over these six decades. I wish you and the association continued success in coming decades in your work encouraging young scholars, building academic communities within Korea, and in developing the already strong ties between Korean economists and those in other countries.

Dear Professor Sung Keun Ha:
Congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the Korean Economic Association. It is quite an achievement. During these 60 years the Korean economy has made a remarkable progress. In particular, the successful recovery from the Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s has surprised many. Japan is now trying to catch up with Korea in many areas. The same is true with economics.
More importantly for us two economic associations, however, we should strengthen our ties, giving more joint seminars, conferences and research projects in an attempt at arriving at a proper understanding of Asia's economic success and of how to make it durable. Meanwhile, let me sincerely hope for a great success of this year's meetings.

Dear Professor Sung Keun Ha:
On behalf of the Chinese Economists Society (USA & Canada), I warmly congratulate you and your colleagues at the Korean Economic Association on the 60th Anniversary of the founding of your association.
In the past six decades, the Korean Economic Association has played a remarkable role in advancing economics research and education in Korea. The KEA has made great contributions to the international academic exchanges between Korean economists and economists of other countries around the world.
In past years, the Chinese Economists Society has benefited in various ways from the support of the KEA and its members. The two associations have collaborated in organizing international symposiums and publishing academic volumes. We are confident that the CES and KEA will continue to cooperate closely in academic exchanges and promotion of economics research and education for our members in the coming years.
Best wishes for you and all members at the KEA. We look forward to future cooperation and exchanges between the CES and the KEA.
Sincerely yours,
Ding LU, PhD President
