발표와 토의를 병행하여 회의가 진행됨(첨부 2) - FUTURE SSC 연락관 활동 점검
∙ WG-41 연락관 Makino 박사로 지정, WG-36 강수경 박사로 변경
∙ 전문가그룹과 FUTURE SSC 연락관들의 더욱 긴밀한 소통이 필요함

○ 전문가그룹 활동 검토
- WG-36 Common Ecosystem Reference Points across PICES countries(PICES 회원국의 공통된 생태계 관리방안 작업반): 본 전문가그룹의 활동기한은 2019년까지이나 ICES 와 공동 WG을 2018년 가을부터 승인받기를 희망하여 연장을 권고함
○ PICES 홈페이지에 FUTURE 프로그램의 노출
- FUTURE SSC 공동의장은 PICES 사무국에 홈페이지에 게재할 내용을 송부하였으나, 모든 자료가 업로드 되어 있지 않고, 대문 페이지에서 FUTURE 프로그램의 존재가 미약함
- 사무국에서는 홈페이지 개선에 많은 시간과 노력이 소요됨으로 FUTURE SSC 위원들 의 이해를 요청함
○ 2018년 연례회의 이후 FUTURE SSC 활동을 위한 요청사항 - FUTURE SSC 회기간 회의(2019년 봄)
∙ 연례회의 기간 외에 SSC가 모여 회의를 하는 것은 반드시 필요하며, 실질적인 과 학 연구내용을 논의하는 자리여야 함
- WG-36, WG-40 회기간 워크숍(2019년 봄) - 2019년 연례회의 기간 중 business meeting 요청
∙ FUTURE 미니 심포지엄과 plenary를 개최하지 않을 예정임으로, FUTURE 전문가 그룹의 활동을 S1에서 보고할 수 있게 30분 발표 2자리를 요청함
- 2021년 또는 2022년 FUTURE 종합심포지엄 개최 고려 요청
□ 의견/평가
○ PICES의 차기 과학프로그램 개발에 우리나라 과학자들의 많은 관심과 적극적인 연구
방향 개진이 요구됨
○ FUTURE diagrams(SEES)에 우리나라 연구사례를 적용하여 연구성과를 널리 알릴 필 요가 있음
