문맥으로 불충분한 경우- 아이를 가질수 없는 이유는 여러가지가 있을 수 있으므 로 역사적 문헌을 참고해서 infertility 가 이유인지 파악한다.

등가표현 확인 – 내귀에 캔디는 영어 등가 표현으로 ‘ear candy’라는 표현이 있다.
물론 music to your ears라는 표현도 쓸 수 있다.

History cannot be a means of filial piety for someone. I was reminded of Queen Mary while listening to President Park’s budget speech to the National Parliament. 다양한 영어 표현- '외람된 이야기지만'은 물론 Even though 라는 접속사로 시작할 수 있지만 phrase를 사용하면 의외로 간단하게 처리 가능함.
I would argue at the risk of sounding presumptuous that she is preoccupied. She once mentioned ‘Restoration Her Father’s Reputation’ as her reason for entering politics. For a person, who went through a family trauma as tragic as or maybe more tragic than what Queen Mary did, a strong bond with a father, who had left his big footprints, good or bad, in the nation’s modern history would be inevitable. However, to attribute a negative assessment of her father’s era solely to ‘the wrong history education’ or to believe that
‘the right history education’ would inspire ‘pride’ in the past is just as unrealistic as the thinking of Queen Mary, who mistakenly believed that Catholicism would turn back the clock to the period before the Reformation. Just as Mary became unhappy as a woman and as a queen by clinging to the illusive love with Prince Philip, wouldn't President Park become miserable as a daughter and as a president if she clang to 'restoration of her father's repuration,' which should be left to the scrutinization of history?
역사란 누군가의 효도 수단이 될 수도 없고 자긍심의 재료로 쓰여서도 안 되며 명예 회 복의 도구로 전락해서도 안 되는 우리 모두의 거울이란다. 우리가 거울을 보는 건 못생 겼다고 좌절하려 함도 아니고 잘생겼다고 우쭐하려 함도 아니야. 단지 우리 모습을 그대 로 보기 위해 서란다. 대통령님도 그걸 이해하셨으면 좋겠다. 메리 여왕처럼 불행하지도 외롭지도 않으셨으면 좋겠다. 그분의 가슴에 ‘국정교과서’와 ‘아버지’가 새겨져 있다면 그 건 그분만의 불행으로 끝나지 않을 테니까.
Neither- nor의 적절한 활용.
History cannot be a means of filial piety for someone, nor serve as a tool to promote self- pride, nor be allowed to degenerate into a device of restoring reputation of one. It is a mirror of ourselves. We look into the mirror neither because we want to despair of our face nor because we want to bask in our appearance. We do so to see ourselves just the way they are. I wish our president knew that. I hope that she will not be unhappy nor lonely as Queen Mary. For if ‘state authorized history textbooks’ and ‘father’ were inscribed on her heart, her misery would not be just her own.
