Dear beloved Taekwondo family,

It is an honour to host「Muju Taekwondowon Online 2022 World Taekwondo Poomsae Open Challenge].

We are all facing certain difficulties due to this exceptional situation. I wish you all to have a warm new year by encouraging each other and sharing good news.

Due to pandemic situation, it is unable for us to gather in one place. I hope that our beloved Taekwondo family could carry on their dreams, therefore TPF have decided to host 「Muju Taekwondowon Online 2022 World Taekwondo Poomsae Open Challenge].

※ The age limits for all division are based on the year, not on the date, when the online competitions are held. For instance, contestants shall be between 15 and 17 years old. In this regard, contestants born between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2007.

7. Competition Rules

7.1. Online Scoring Criteria

ㅇ WT Poomsae Competition Rules & Interpretation in force as of May 14, 2019 shall apply.

7.2. Applied Online Scoring Criteria

ㅇ Regarding the deduction criteria, please refer to the guideline of Muju Taekwondowon Online 2022 World Taekwondo Poomsae Open ChallengeⅠ in WT website.

ㅇ Any edited videos will be disqualified.

ㅇ Any violation of the guidelines on recording and procedures provided by the WT will result in disqualification.

ㅇ The recorded videos should be recorded separately 1st Poomsae and 2nd Poomsae. Each recorded Poomsae video must be uploaded on the WT competition official platform (http://www.onlinepoomsae.com/) to match the 1st Poomsae and 2nd Poomsae.

8. International Referees (IRs)

8.1. The WT will appoint the required number of Poomsae International Referees.

8.2. Appointed referees should attend IR training and meeting for online competition in designated day.

9. WT-recognized Poomsae Competition uniform

ㅇ All contestants of national team category must wear the WT-recognized Pommsae competition uniform.

ㅇ Though, contestants of the open category may wear any white color uniform with logo covered in only WT Open Poomsae Challenge (Dojang or Club logo are allowed).

10. Head of Team Meeting and Drawing of Lots:

2. Qualification of contestants

2.1. National Team Category (Senior)

ㅇ In accordance with Article 4: Qualification of Contestant of the WT Poomsae Competition Rules & Interpretation, the contestant must meet all following requirements:

2.1.1. Individual (Recognized Poomsae) - Senior ㅇ Holder of nationality of the participating team

ㅇ Recommended by the national Taekwondo association of the WT ㅇ Holder of the Kukkiwon Dan certificate

ㅇ Holder of WT Global Athlete License (GAL)

* Any questions on the WT GAL please contact your assigned WT GMS Manager ㅇ Athlete aged 18 or above (athletes correspond to the age of each division)

2.1.2. Individual (Free Style Poomsae) - Senior ㅇ Holder of nationality of the participating team

ㅇ Recommended by the national Taekwondo association of the WT ㅇ Holder of the Kukkiwon Dan certificate

ㅇ Holder of WT Global Athlete License (GAL) ㅇ Athlete aged 18 or above

2.1.3. Participation Restriction

ㅇ Any athlete who competed in the National Team Category cannot compete in the Open category in the entire Series.

3. Online Registration

3.1. Registration Period

: February 21, 2022 (Mon) ~ March 4, 2022 (Fri) 23:59 (Local Korean Time, GMT+9)

3.2. Registration Method

3.2.1. National Team Category

ㅇ Accepted only through the WT online registration system (GMS)

ㅇ Contestants and Team officials participating in the National Team must first be registered with a WT Global Athlete License (GAL) or Global Official License (GOL).

ㅇ Please check the detailed event information as below GMS events site. All of participants are able to check through GMS for detailed information on how to register: https://worldtkd.simplycompete.com/events

3.3. Entry fees

4. Methods of Competition = Cut-Off System, Pre-recorded

ㅇ (In accordance with Article 7 of Poomsae competition Rules & Interpretation) All international-level competitions recognized by the WT shall be formed with participation of at least six (6) countries with no fewer than six (6) contestants or six (6) teams in each division.

4.1. Recognized Poomsae and Free Style Poomsae 4.1.1 Recognized Poomsae competition

ㅇ (Preliminary) In case of twenty (20) or more contestants are participating, the competition shall start from preliminary round with division of groups. After uploading two (2) assigned Compulsory Poomsae videos, the top half of each group shall advance to semi-final based on the points.

- Contestant’s Poomsae video clip must be uploaded during March 14 to March 18 ㅇ (Semi-final) In case nine (9) to nineteen (19) contestants are participating,

competition shall start from semi-final. Contestants shall upload two (2) assigned Compulsory Poomsae videos and top eight (8) of them shall advantage to final based on the points.

- Contestant’s Poomsae video clip must be uploaded during March 29 to April 1 ㅇ (Final) When eight (8) or less contestants are participating, competition shall

start from final round. Contestants shall be performed two (2) assigned Compulsory Poomsae and top three (3) contestants shall be awarded based on the points.

- Contestant’s Poomsae video clip must be uploaded during April 10 to April 12

4.1.2. Free Style Poomsae competition

ㅇ Yeon-mu line, music and choreography can be chosen by contestant.

Performed techniques must be within boundary of Taekwondo. Athletes are requiered to use the non-copyrighted music(sound without lyrics/words). The definition of Taekwondo techniques shall be deteremined by WT Poomsae Committee, when contestant submits performance plan of Free Style Poomsae.

Athletes are allowed to 1)upload/submit same video throughout the entire round, or 2) upload/submit different video clip in each round.

ㅇ Technical Delegate (TD) will decide Two(2) Poomsae from designated Compulsory Poomsae for each division.

ㅇ All recognized Poomsae for preliminaries, semi-final and final will be decided by drawing of lots.

6.3. Free Style Poomsae

Free Style Poomsae must be performed with music and choreography and its performed techniques must be within boundary of Taekwondo. The definition of Taekwondo techniques shall be determined by WT Poomsae Committee, when contestant submits performance plan of Free Style Poomsae.

7.1.3. Privilege for Winners

ㅇ Top 8 athletes among National Team Category: Invited to the Muju Taekwondowon Online 2022 World Taekwondo Poomsae Open Challenge Final

**Certificate and Medal will be sent to the MNA for national team athletes and will be sent to personal address for those competed in Open Category. Mailing may be delayed due to COVID-19 situation in each country. It is expected to take up to one month.

8. WT-recognized Poomsae Competition uniform

ㅇ All contestants of national team category must wear the WT-recognized Pommsae competition uniform.

8.1. Division: Under 30, Under 40, and Under 50

ㅇ Male: white top and dark blue pants; Female: white top and light blue pants

8.2. Division: Under 60, Under 65, and Over 65 ㅇ Yellow top and dark blue pants

9. Others

ㅇ Any matter/issue not mentioned above will be dealt by WT Poomsae Committee.

2. Qualification of contestants

ㅇ Open to all. The contestant must meet all following requirements:

ㅇ Practitioners of recognized Dojang (club) by the national Taekwondo association of WT

ㅇ Holder of the Kukkiwon Poom or Dan certificate 2.1.2. Pair (Family)

ㅇ Practitioners of recognized Dojang (club) by the national Taekwondo association of WT and their parent * 2 Family Members , 2 Generation

ㅇ At least one player must be 4th geup (blue belt) or higher belt holder ㅇ Must be composed of direct family member regardless of gender 2.1.3. Pair (Club/Dojang)

ㅇ Masters and Practitioners of recognized Dojang (club) by the national Taekwondo association of WT

ㅇ Practitioner must be 4th geup (blue belt) or higher belt holder ㅇ Can be composed regardless of gender

* Ex) Practitioner (Male/Female) + Master (Male/Female) ㅇ A master may compete in multiple pair teams

2.1.4. Family Team

ㅇ Practitioners of recognized Dojang (club) by the national Taekwondo association of WT and their parents * 3 Family Members

ㅇ Two (2) Poomsae from designated Compulsory Poomsae must be performed for all the preliminaries, semi-final and final rounds for all competitions, except Pair (Family, Club/Dojang) and Family Team division.

ㅇ Technical Delegate (TD) will decide Two(2) Poomsae from designated Compulsory Poomsae for each division. All recognized Poomsae for preliminaries, semi-final and final will be decided by drawing of lots. The result will be posted in WT website.

8. Combined Ranking

ㅇ (Decision of Combined Ranking) Combined ranking of teams will be decided with following points : Participation and Result of each division.

8.3. Ranking Point

ㅇ Points from Individual, Pair, and Family Team will be accumulated in accordance with the chart below. The point will be counted to 8th placed athlete/team.

8.4. Others

ㅇ (In case of Equal Points) In case of a tied point, club/dojang with more number of medalists will prioritize, specifically number of 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place respectively.

ㅇ (Scoring of Withdrawal, Disqualification, No-show) Any athlete/team with withdrawal, disqualification, and/or no-show will receive 0 point.

ㅇ (Awarding of prize for Combined Ranking) Clubs/dojang ranked among 1st to 3rd place will receive prize money listed in the Article 7.1. Awards. "Club/Dojang”will be recognized by the account used to register through the registration platform(onlinepoomsae.com), and participation point will be awarded accordingly.

9. Competition uniform

ㅇ Participating contestants must wear WT-recognized Poomsae competition uniform.

Though, contestants of the open category may wear any white color uniform with logo covered in only WT Open Poomsae Challenge (Dojang or Club logo are allowed).

10. Others

ㅇ Any matter/issue not mentioned above will be dealt by WT Poomsae Committee.
