I have kept at it with my English studies since I 꾸준히 하다

나는 학창 시절부터 꾸준히 영어 공부를 해 왔다. 학 교 다닐 때는 영어가 정규 과목이었다. 그래서 학업 성적을 유지하기 위해서 영어 공부를 열심히 했다.
주로 영어 시험에서 더 좋은 점수를 받는 것이 공부 의 주 목적이었다. 대학교에 가서는 취업 준비를 하 면서, 영어 말하기 시험에 대비를 해야 했다. 요즘 대부분의 기업들이 영어 말하기 평가 등급을 요구 하는 시대여서, 대비를 해야 했다.
생전 잘 안 하던 영어 말하기 시험 공부는 결코 쉽 지 않았다. 물론 지금은 시험을 위해서만 영어 공부 를 하고 있지는 않다. 직장 업무나 해외 여행 등의 목적을 위해서도 영어 말하기 공부를 꾸준히 하고 있다. 주요 시사 현안에 대해서도 영어로 내 의견을 매끄럽게 말하고 싶은 욕심이 있다.

no cakewalk 만만치 않은 일
본문에서 사용된 cakewalk이라는 표현 외에도 유난히 cake이 나 pie 등 단 음식을 언급하는 영어 표현이 많다. '여러 경우 중 가 장 ~하다'라는 뜻으로 take the cake이라는 표현을 사용하기도 하며, 아주 쉬운 것을 a piece of cake이라고 부르기도 한다.
I've read many good books before, but this one takes the cake.
(예전에도 좋은 책을 많이 읽어 봤지만, 이 책은 정말 최고다.) I think it's a piece of cake.
