Gunman storms casino, 54 hurt
A lone gunman stormed a casino in Pasay City shortly after midnight armed with a baby armalite, fired at the stock room of chips, carted away with P113 million worth of it, and was later found dead inside one of the hotel’s rooms on Friday morning.

Friendly fire kills 11 soldiers
An Air Force plane dropping bombs on Maute extremists killed 11 soldiers and wounded seven others in “friendly fire” as government forces were struggling to rout the militants who have laid siege to Marawi City, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said yesterday.

Resorts World gunman burned self to death–PNP
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Friday confirmed that the lone gunman behind the attack on Resorts World Manila is dead.
Dela Rosa, who earlier claimed that the gunman was killed after resisting arrest, said that the suspect set himself on fire in one of the rooms at the hotel.

Marawi attack planned by IS
PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday said the Islamic State (IS) international terrorist group was behind a “rebellion” in Mindanao, amid ongoing clashes between security forces and the IS-linked Maute group in Marawi City.
Recent terrorist activities in Mindanao are not just the work of the members of the Maute group, but are
“purely ISIS,” Duterte said in remarks during an oath-taking ceremony in Malacañang, using another name for the IS.

Dozens injured in Resorts World shooting
Dozens of people were reported injured in a shooting incident at Resorts World Manila shortly after midnight Thursday.
A personnel of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) said at least 25 people were injured and were taken to various hospitals.
