1.0

INTRODUCTION

This quotation covers the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of a CK TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (CKT1175) cable and harness test system to be installed at XXX.

1.1

ADVANTAGES AND IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTCS

The following is a summary of important features that will provide XXX with the most advanced, efficient and cost-effective wiring testing system available.

1.1.1 Warranty and Support

• An all-inclusive one (1) year warranty on parts and service.

• 48-hour response time in case on-site intervention is required.

• Free initial training at CKT or at XXX. Refresher training continuously available.

1.1.2 Reliability and Maintainability

• Test system availability >than 99%.

• Excellent diagnostics and physical access to all systems elements result in a MTTR that is normally <than 1 hour.

• Virtually never requires calibration adjustments. Also, changing out any of the instruments and/or stimulus generators will not require recalibration of the system.

1.1.3 Major System Features

• Switching units will be provided with the CKT MAC connectors for efficient and cost-effective adapter cable design and manufacturing.

• The CKT1175 has the most user-friendly and comprehensive operator interface of any equipment of this type on the market today.

(3)

• Very low heat generation by the switching cards for long-term high- reliability and trouble free operation.

1.1.4 Testing/Measurement Capability

• Insulation testing and DC hi-pot testing to 1000VDC and 1000 megohms. Test voltage is programmable from 0 to 1000 volts in 0.025 volt steps. Short circuit current is programmable from 0.5 milliamps to 5 milliamps.

• AC dielectric breakdown (hi-pot) testing at voltages from 0 to 750 VAC RMS, programmable in 0.025 volt steps (optional).

• Continuity testing at 0-50VDC (programmable in .0125 volt steps) and 0-5 amperes (programmable in 4 ranges from 10 microamperes to 5 amps).

• 4-wire Kelvin measurements.

• Diode testing.

• Capacitance measurements as low as 100 picofarads.

• Opens locator using software algorithms in conjunction with precision capacitance measurements.

• Integrated digital voltmeter for DC and AC measurements.

• All tests are reported in absolute values (resistance, voltage, capacitance).

The CKT1175 measurement instrumentation is a fully digital set of voltage and current sources, as is the measurement instrumentation.

• The CKT1175 measurement instrumentation is software calibrated; there are no adjustment potentiometers.

1.1.5 CKT1175 Control

• Movement of data between the operator PC and the system test engine is via a dedicated Ethernet link. This link can be hardwired or wireless.

• The operator PC and test system can be separated from each other by an almost unlimited distance. Perfect for installing the PC operator station (work station) at an operator friendly location, and keeping the test system at a location more convenient to the product-to-be-tested. Connection can be by wire or wireless.

• Windows® XP Professional software platform. True Windows® interface, with all the functionality of the Windows® software.

(4)

• Completely network capable.

1.1.6 CKT1175 Switching Matrix

• Implemented with the CKT MAC connector.

• Switching matrix is rated to test at voltages up to 1000 VDC (750 VAC RMS), and at currents up to 5 amperes with a programmable 0 – 50 VDC compliance voltage for continuity testing.

• Remote continuity probe connector.

• Switching matrix cards are accessible and removable from the opposite side of the adapter cable connector interface. This design feature guarantees excellent maintainability and rapid repair if a switching card should fail.

• Test point expansion at XXX simply by adding switching suitcases or cabinets. There will be no need for control unit or software modifications.
