Optical homodyne detection was adopted to eavesdrop on the quantum key in quantum cryptog- raphy [15]. We measured the polarization state of the weak signal field by using of the polarization- controllable homodyne detector that we previously proposed. To obtain the input polarization state of the signal field, we controlled the state of the local oscillator fields, the overall phase relative to the signal field and the phase difference between two perpendicular components of polarization vector of the local oscillator field.
