2018 Youth Peace Camp Application Form

The Youth Peace Camp is intended to build a network for future collaboration among youths of UN allied nations in the Korean War by inviting grandchildren of UN Korean War veterans. This Program is initially designed to commemorate the 60^th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.

Eligibility

Korean War veterans’ grandchildren who are attending polytechs or universities (including graduate schools) with good academic records, no criminal records, recommended by Head of School, dean, professor, or representative of Korean War Veterans Association.

To Apply

Please fill out below information, sign the Agreement and submit to whom this may concern (Korean Embassy in Wellington) within the designated date. And please attach your most recent official college transcript and military records proving your grandfather’s participation in the Korean War.

Support

50% of roundtrip airfare (economy class) from your hometown airport to Korea 100% of other expenses including accommodation, meals and tour costs

AGREEMENT

I, the undersigned, by accepting the invitation by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (MPVA) in Korea to participate in the 2018 Youth Peace Camp Program, agree to the following conditions;

The MPVA shall not be liable or responsible in any way in connection with such means of transport or other services, or for any loss, injury or damage to or in respect of any persons or property howsoever arising, nor be responsible for damages arising from the default of a tour operator/carrier, lost/damaged baggage, trip cancellation, bad weather, natural disaster or other acts of God.
