Lapeña replaces Customs chief Faeldon
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday evening named Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Isidro Lapeña as the new Bureau of Customs chief replacing Nicanor Faeldon.
Despite accepting Faeldon’s resignation, Duterte still stood by the resigned Customs chief who faces corruption allegations over the controversial smuggled P6.4 billion muggling worth of shabu.

Abu Sayyaf terrorists raid Basilan village, kill 10
Abu Sayyaf terrorists allied with the Islamic State on Monday raided a village in Basilan province in southern Philippines and killed at least 10 people before escaping, government officials said.
